Yeah, I hope they seriously consider BPT after this. Kinda sucks leaving work early from LA and driving in traffic only to show up and be told that its sold out.

It is a bit disheartening to almost get to the front and then hear it's sold out only to see a Facebook post about 44 cases going into distro. Got there at 4:15.

Hate to say this, but I hope they don't do BPT. I left early and made sure I got there in time, knowing full well this would happen. I was out of there with my six bottles, glass and pour by 4:45 and there was easily 100 people in front of me when I got there. You just have to leave work earlier to get there. I know not everyone can do that but we all can't make every release.

BPT just means everyone spams the website for 20 minutes while it sales out and then people who would have gone to get a bottle get burned.

Got there at 4:10 and was the first person to be told sold out. I am willing to buy 1 bottle off whoever willing to sell. Message me please.

With BPT, everyone who wants one gets a chance to get it and avoid getting shut out in line. If you get burned, which can happen, at least you don't have to waste time and gas at a brewery release. While BPT isn't perfect, it's clearly the superior option.

I honestly cant believe what I just read, way to completely screw over people who waited in line, and told they were SOLD OUT.

Bottle Logic has said before that they have commitments to distro some of this. It's not like they just up and called it sold out to screw people over.

True, but IMO it would of been better to wait until the day after to see about limited distro. While I'm happy I got my bottles, a lot more people would be happier that they don't have to hunt down where some of these cases are going to be allocated.

Wow, I am so glad I got fed up with traffic and decided to change course and head home instead, I would have probably ended up getting there just in time to see it sell out.

I think pretty much anyone that is local to a brewery or has a flexible schedule is going to agree with this simply because it gives them a huge advantage. Surely the people down in SD would be better off if they didn't have to compete for Lost Abbey, Modern Times, Alpine, and Alesmith releases.

I feel like there is a certain point where your demand gets high enough that BPT is the right way to go, Bottle Logic has reached it with this release and Smog City probably will soon as well if they continue to pump out stuff like Cuddlebug and Infinite Wishes.

It's all good! Got there around 4:00 and walked out with everything I wanted...

As far as BPT, I personally would benefit as I sit a computer all day at work. On the other hand, when I have to line up for a release, I can usually leave work early and I can bring a mule... I guess either way works out for me.

I'm in DC helping my friend cope with his recently Diagnosed stage 4 terminal cancer...so needless to say I completely missed any chance to get a bottle of this. If anyone is willing to part with one, please message me. I can't trade a VR or similar for it because I just don't have that, but hopefully SOMEONE out of the kindness of their heart is willing to let 1 bottle from a 6 bottle limit go?

Figured asking here was worth a shot. Thanks for reading.

Lol. I didn't go to this release, but, as in life, it's better to arrive early than late.

I told all my friends going to get there by 2 to be on the safe side. One of them was one of the first ones there. Another friend drove all the way from Visalia, and he was about the first 10. I went to H24 on Saturday, and got there 2 hours before, and got my bottles from them.

In any release I always advise to get there at least 2 hours prior to release (unless it's a white whale you may need to stay overnight).

I tried to give plenty of time, but if you're coming from any distance away, LA traffic can easily hose any plans you might have. Any hint of a thunderstorm, and multiple wrecks on the 5 or 405 are all but guaranteed. :slight_frown: I'm in favor of BPT for that reason; specify same-day pickup and no proxies to dampen demand, make people do a handstand, whatever, but it would be helpful to have some mechanism like that to lower the levels of disappointment on the day of release.

All that said, I'm still glad to have seen the brewery for the first time and to have had it on draft. Bummed about traffic keeping me from bottles when I thought I was going to be totally fine on time, but kudos to Bottle Logic for a phenomenal beer. One of the best I've ever tasted.

Nothing wrong with giving some constructive feedback on the release, especially when the guys running it are listening. A 4pm weekday release is not exactly something that is easy to make the time for.

Once again, not trying to be a dick but if you want it, you will get there. There are so many SD releases I don't get because I can't make it down there. You don't see me complaining about those. Bottom line, if you really wanted bottles you would have left with plenty of time to get there by 330.

And for the record, I have 9-5 job and I still made it happen.
