I never tried to push its desirability on here. I simply stated that if this were any one of those other breweries I mentioned that it would be socially beer trading acceptable to be giving up Prop and VR and etc. and no one would bat an eye. I see people making fun of the guys posting 1:1 as if the offer is wrong??? So yes don't push the value or fake trades to push it but, don't also threadshit the guy who is getting a fair value for his beer. I once got laughed at for offering the BT and variants set along with BAVSS for BA Abraxas and was laughed at and said I was way off. Just saying let's stop threadshitting on the FO posts.

The best thing that could have happen to this beer is this thread.

Speaking of value, check out the recent click bait post on IP- Pacific -
    DDG for 6x FO
Are we going to thread shit this post for asking for too much? Nope as it is the socially accepted beer standard now.

Can we actually thread shit trade post? I always feared the hammer coming down on anyone who dares speak ill or even rational with someone asking for way too much in the trade forums.

Within your own right to post that and you will probably get it since it is acceptable socially in the beer trade world.

Only complaint would be that your post is click bait. Should say 6x FO on the title not in the thread to save people the time.

I actually just had a conversation with another BAer who also said he would do 6:1 for DDG. That seems to be a thing now.

I'm just glad to see others are chiming in here. I knew me asking for a valuable beer was valid. Weather I close or not remains to be seen but there is no harm in starting high and seeing what happens. Its not like anyone is forcing people to accept trades. If both parties are happy, why should it be anyone else's business?

I don't understand so don't shit on me, but by what people are saying is going $4$ trading. Then wouldn't it be 2 FO for 1 DDG? Since DDG was $40. Assassin was $30, but people want first borns. I guess everyone values there beer differently. People can post whatever they like. Nobody says you have to take it. Kind of seems like there are a lot of double standards out there.

there may be a day when FO trades bottle for bottle with ddg, who knows what the future holds! a lot goes into ddg's value, 1) more people want it, 2) batch 2 is almost 2 years old now, 3) we are at least a year away from batch 3, 4) after 2 years bottles are becoming harder to find

I'm not trying to hype ddg's value. just merely pointing out why ddg has a high(er) value

$4$ typically goes for beers of similar desirability.

So I wouldn't mind switching to bpt, but through a lottery system without proxies like Kern River does. Not everyone has the luxury of being on a computer during the sale date/time and spamming F5. You win some and you lose some on bpt but I just feel a lottery is the most fair and convenient way for both the consumer and brewery to handle it.

I got my bottles so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I think it's a good idea.

Lottery would definitely be the most fair, but would also require more administration due to the extra steps of running the RNG, informing winners, and running another BPT transaction. In other words, more effort on the brewery's part, which I'm sure they'd like to avoid.

I think BPT is the way to go. If you can take the day off or get off early to drive to the brewery you can sneak into the bathroom with your phone for 10 minutes and refresh ONCE at 11:59:59am if you get in check out if not keep it moving.

Beats standing in line for 4hrs or whatever people did. No complaining about #CyberLineCutters #CyberMules #ASL

I didn't get or try for bottles so take it with a grain of salt.

You don't have to have six fucking bottles of this (Says the man who walked away with a case last week) There's no reason why you need to go the Kern River route of lotto system for a six'er of it. Places in San Diego do 2-3 bottle limit on stuff like this all the time and it's run pretty smoothly.

Does it sell out quickly and do you need to be a little F5 skilled? Sure, but it's pretty much the standard. Stop complicating it so much. If you have a smart phone, you need not worry about getting shut out if you just keep track of the time.
