That is because the package was dropped off after the last pick-up. That is actually completely normal.

,No doubt the OP seems way to "hyper" of a trader for my tastes, but I am curious @theruckus33 if you agreed to both ship last Wednesday why didn't you and did you communicate a reason for why not accordingly? I too would be annoyed if someone agrees to ship on a specific day and does not for five days IF they don't give me valid reason for the delay. That being said I would not ever start a thread like this in five days regardless.

This thread makes me anxious. Everyone needs to have a beer, calm down, and communicate clearly. Problems avoided when communication is consistent.

That cuts both ways, and I will be sure to put you on my DNT list as well. For those roasting me, for essentially defending myself, I would take a moment to put yourself in my shoes, and then think about how you would respond? I will admit, I should have communicated better with him, point taken, and totally agree.

However, I waited as long as I did because he mentioned he was using a "12 bottle shipper." In past, when trading with others, when I use nice packaging, they have been courteous enough to send it back with their beer. I waited to do the same, I got the package on Monday, packed it Monday evening and sent it out - his box and packaging with my beer. Again, I should have communicated this, I admit this and am sorry for a slouch communication, however there is a clear cut difference between slack in communication and outing someone for being a bad trader, after he sends you a label. Let's keep in mind all this within the context of a week.

Going to move this to Trading talk and help, the OP is not out beer , yet , and a shipping # has been provided. if the OP doesn't get his beer ill move it back. Ill let the community decide its own conclusion on how this was drawn out. Title changed as well.

Umm, so the agreed upon plan was you both ship Wednesday... and you decided you would wait for his package to arrive, so you could send his shipper back, and you just flat out didn't tell him that, at all?

Yes, I would agree with you. That is very, very poor communication in my book.

It almost sounds like you were waiting for his beer to arrive because you didn't trust the guy... you just flat out didn't communicate that to him though

I have to agree with @Kramerbarthomer - if the agreement was to both ship Wednesday, and you didn't communicate before the other guy shipped that you were going to wait 5 days until you got his package and ship back in the same box, that is absolutely on you for failing to communicate.

Not a bad trader - I mean the beer will all get there etc... so that is all fine, but this would absolutely get bad feedback from me with a comment to state that you failed to meet the shipping commitment by almost a week and waited to get my package before shipping even though you had agreed to ship same day. I would be pretty annoyed, that's for sure.

No offence to some of you, but I have been on BA for over 5 years and have been trading longer then some of you have been above the legal drinking age. Heck, I did the majority of my trading before BA changed their whole trading format. Sorry, if I am not exactly fitting your standards. Whateve's. I have said what I needed to say, and am moving on.

I'm not a seasoned trader by any means, but the "standards" you speak of seem pretty minimal as it relates to accurate communication. Whether you've been here 5 weeks or 5 years that's pretty basic stuff. Maybe there's more we don't know. But if someone didn't ship or give me a good reason for 5 days beyond the agreed upon date, I'd be feeling a little uneasy as well. Perhaps the OP overreacted, but I still wouldn't be getting so defensive if my initial snafu was the root of the issue.

    Lighten up, Francis.

You come across as a complete ass.

No one here cares how long you've been on BA, how long you've been trading or your past history in the trade forums.

You're only as good as your last trade in most people's eyes and given your responses here, you may not have too many going forward.

If you can't be civil with people, we have ways of managing that.

Doesn't really entitle you to anything.. Idk Im sure you're fine. If anything a thread like this should help us all realize that we need to explicitly tell who we are trading with what our plans are. I could have been better about this in the past myself with certain deals, and knowing that any laziness (thats all it is when everyone gets their beer) can turn into me being ripped to pieces in a thread is good enough to help motivate me to do better.

These guys are great. How they ever managed to make a trade together(well not yet)is a mini miracle! Dumb and dumber. OP,I agree the guy is an asshole but you couldn't figure out that was a FedEx tracking number after you've made six trades? Or were you just upset with his assholeish response? I would have just been happy I got a number and I could be done with the guy, making a thread just means you have to deal with the shit head more.

Simply using the term Whateve's may land you on some DNT lists.
