I have ordered from Craftshack and Bine&Vine. Both were excellent, especially Craftshack

I had forgotten about west Lakeview. Placed an order this afternoon. My wallet is very angry at you.

    Still wondering this as well.

I would just ship to my NY address, but im weary of the post office in the city either stealing my packages, as they have done in the past, or just flat out breaking the contents.

When I ordered from craft beer kings, the fed ex tracking site gave me the option to have it dropped at a fed ex store, rather than my house. If you have a location nearby, it's a pretty nice option.

Once you receive a FedEx tracking number you can go to the FedEx website and request that it be dropped off at a local fedex. You can do this even after they have already attempted to deliver to you

So far we have ordered from France 44, Bring on the Beer, Craft Shack and Craft Beer Kings. The good is we have been able to buy beer that sees little to no distribution in Missouri, and all beer arrived safely. We have had a couple of minor issues with not getting exactly what we paid for, but in both cases they made good on the problem and threw in a little extra. The bad is the cost of shipping, and in most cases having to be home to sign or have it re routed.

It is a great tool, but it is also very easy to get caught up in it and spend lots and lots of money! Just a couple of clicks and and you have bought some often expensive beers that all the cool kids on BA are raving about. We enjoy it, but it also takes an element of self control.

I've been pleased with best Damn Beer San Diego, Bruisin Ale's Ashville NC, Marina Market in Washington, South Lyndale in Minnesota and Shoppers Vineyard in New Jersey.

In other words a lot of states let their stores ship into Illinois. I'm less pleased that a number of states let their stores ship out, but not into Illinois ( e.g. RI CT, WY...)

Thought of trying that, but I work in a hospital, not sure how that would look. Plus the mailroom staff is already running around all day.

    craftbeertemple.com - Chicago

    http://craftshack.com/ - Nevada

I have had excellent results dealing with both of these, but expect to pay about $ 40 - $ 50 for shipping so choose carefully. But then, when I trade beers, it's usually about the same for shipping.

There is also one in California I've used once - can't remember the name.

I worked in a hospital. The shipping clerk was a beer drinker as well so I had my packages delivered there. Of course, I always ordered something extra for him.

Rural living makes that hard...nearest FedEx is about 45 minutes.

Maybe the state matters. They made me sign every time. Also, I received a beer of the month club membership as a gift, I need to sign for that delivery as well.

I buy on-line all the time, from several places. I'm too lazy to trade. One rule of thumb though, only order stuff that your local bottle shops cannot get. It hurts everyone if you're buying stuff that is on shelves in your area. If you don't support and buy the core beers, shops won't get the good stuff. Being in VA, I tend to order mostly west coast stuff or things that aren't even close to being distributed in our area. Get to know your bottle shop owners and employees. Ask before ordering something that you think could possible make it to their shelves and wait to buy it then. It's the right thing to do

Belgiuminabox. There just isn't anything produced domestically that I can't easily get here that's worth paying extra for. But any of the Belgian shops that don't charge exorbitant shipping will get you all the gueuze you want, for less than you'd end up paying at a store in the U.S., provided you could even find it anywhere in bulk.

Leukins liquor .com has fresh Jai Alai. South lyndale liquor.com is where I get a fair amount of Midwest beers including Surly and Founders. Mostly for me it's Craftshack.com and craftbeertemple. Craft city is good too but shipping is slow for being in state.
