Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (with honorable mention to Anchor Steam for having it's origin here, but I just don't dig it).

Straubs in PA, is also family owned since founding in 1872, about 40 years after Yuengling, and makes some beers many like as well or better than Yuenglings offerings.

I would have loved to have added my hometown Genesee to the conversation, but the Wehle family is long gone.:slight_frown:

Most of you who are answering Bud, Bud Light, etc. obviously didn't read OP's original post about the 'best beer in the world' contest.

I'll go with the Anchor Steam Liberty Ale. Oldie but a goodie. Used to drink it all the time. I should get one soon...lol

I hate when people do this (comment on the title without reading the OP) and I just ended up doing it because I liked the Yuengling posts. :slight_frown: I read right past that part apparently.

In a contest I would go with Double Barrel Hunahpu.
    1) Because I have it scored a 5 and think it would hold it's own against anything
    2) Because it is a big ass concoction of everything. Vanilla beans, hops, coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, chilis, cocoa nibs, rum, apple brandy. How we do it in 'Murica!

    SNPA is a good choice.

That was my first thought, especially the label. But in terms of beer..........yeah SNPA is quintessential
