I don't give a shit about values or hype or whatever the fuck....

But...I have to say, it's interesting to see a huge amount of ISO's for a limited release, low bottle count, BA Vanilla stout with a lot of good things being said and most of the FT's are pretty minimal.

Usually when the demand is that big, the offers are more significant. Weird.

You completely missed the point. But that's okay. Your initial argument inferred that you might.

Instead of a completely unrelated analogy that isn't remotely relevant, I'll be more direct. I don't buy a beer that I don't intend to drink simply to rip someone off for more money. Again... that isn't advocacy.

I guess if you see it that way. The fact that you deflected lets me know I am right. Also I haven't personally insulted you, just disagreed with your point of view. Anyone who doesn't agree with your point a view is automatically an "awful person" and I'm the awful one hmmmm...

I bought it to drink and to trade.

So question to you is this. Are you happy when you see Side Project, HF, 3F, cycle posting my one beer for your 6x west coast beers and since its trading that's okay?

Or you could just say screw Prop or whatever overvalued beer is popular these days and just drink what you got. I stopped paying attention to the ISO:FT forums once it was clear most folks were out there trying to maximize their trades, and by maximize, I mean stuff like ISO: your cellar FT: DB Huna.

If there is anyone in the know do you still think they will have any FO on tap tomorrow?

It was still pouring around 5pm tonight but I'm not sure if it will be there tomorrow. They haven't posted that it ran out yet but maybe @CraftyJoseph can help.

It's a CA beer, and CA traders are typically awful and way undervalue their beer. Hopefully those insignificant FTs continue to sit and CA can finally have a beer with value (Also why trading with random people often sucks).

I think the problem here is when people have Prop or Assassin or whatever , they would rather drink it than trade it. So you have to offer a lot to get them. When you have people posting a lot of FT, it kind of sends a signal out that they are trying to trade it before the stock drops on the bottle. I traded a DB Huna for quantity of FO, which I think is reasonable because DBH is a proven quantity. FO is a risk because it could be CA overhyping, but I generally like BA Vanilla stouts, and the rating has not really dropped off. Usually the ratings balance out when objective CA BA's start rating it correctly. It just looks bad when there is a release and people are trying to trade it 1:1 with Prop. Happens every time. If it's good, it will get there, like Puga Royale.

Makes sense, but that vast majority in the trade forum are ISO. Doesn't jibe with your reasoning.

@whiskey As I said though, most people will take a chance with a BA Vanilla stout that is being rated highly with over 30 ratings, some of those from respectable BA's. So you will see others trying to "buy low". It works both ways, but others may see that it could be a legit beer. Not another Pappy board meeting.

Getting so sick of intial 5s on crap, low bottle count beer here in general. It's to the point where I ignore any obviously overhyped beers and no longer seek out local beers unless there's a review from someone I trust.

That being said, I've had one bottle of FO so far and it's a damn fine beer.

That's it. I want off this craft beer train as I sure as hell don't want to be around in this scene when foil card versions of beer labels comes out.

How about NOT buying the beer and letting someone enjoy it if you're just going to flip it. Beer isn't baseball cards (which wasn't a good investment to begin with either)

Now you want off? not when KBBS goes for 20:1 right?
Well you clearly didn't understand my example. Allow me to elaborate so that your mind may actually be able to comprehend what I was saying. This was an example as to not let go of something that has high value for chump change. Get it now?

I bought the beer to drink it and trade it. Can't let CA people like you let go of MW 2 : 1 DL keep establishing the status quo
