Today, I took a trip up to Canterbury, NH (just a hair north of Concord) and ducked into the Canterbury AleWorks. Now, I love Trillium and HF as much as the next guy - but in the spirit of keeping the Advocate in BeerAdvocate - I really wanted to share my experience here. It's a tiny, one barrel at a time operation. They grow hops on site and use firewood and a water wheel for power. The same man plans, brews, and pours the beers. Plus, I thought the beer was good and priced to buy and share with friends. We are fortunate to have some world class breweries in New England - but we're are also fortunate to have some hidden gems out there, too. Cheers!
