I refuse to consider something like this. I'd be okay choosing red or white wine, but not light or dark beer. Like asking "if you could only save one person, your brother or your sister..."

Easy for me, considering nobody seems to make non-goofy-flavored porters and stouts any more . It was fun while it lasted.

    Light all the way!

Point well taken... "Trans flavor profiles exist on ether side, where the opacity of the beverage has little if any correlation to the malt or IBU."

Exactly. Stone's Master of Disguise immediately comes to mind.

Color is not a flavor - I like em all.

Dark...I couldn't live without Everett, Earl, FBS just to name a few.

    24-25, 28-30.
I think this would suit me the best. All of the beers that I tried from that area, tasted great and I loved them. Nevertheless, I like to try beers from all aspects: color, taste, aroma, bitterness, smell, country, age etc...

I voted light, however, not with much vigor.
    This is just wrong.

I picked light, goes better with more food styles.

1-20. Lighter just seems more refreshing for any given time. I do like them all though.

I enjoy dark beers but don't drink them all that often.

Could never choose. Right now it is Summer and I am all Pale Ales and Pale Lagers but by Thanksgiving it will be Porters, Stouts and Belgian Dark Ales.

Light, specifically 6-10, more specifically IPAs. Though when I'm drinking dark beers I find myself in the 36-40 range.

Light, but I'm going to miss those milk and American double stouts.

After an angst-filled deliberation, I went with light because I cannot fathom giving up IPAs...but dear lord, I would sorely miss the other half of the spectrum.

My thoughts exactly. It'd be torture to bid farewell to my beloved porters, but no way am I giving up my ability to enjoy copious amounts of Czech Pils.

Don't worry, this is just a poll. You don't actually have to give up dark beers.
