    you guys are funny.

let me say this, i do 100% agree that any store gouging the prices on these beers is trash and should be boycotted.

that being said, you cant be mad at some of the stores for being frustrated.

a lot of these places are getting a case or two. who are you going to sell it to, some random guy, or your regulars? of course its going to the regulars. there isnt even a discussion to be had there. it is in the best interest of any business to take care of the people who spend the most money. its common sense.

also, i have talked to numerous store managers who dont sell it to random customers because they fear it will be sold on ebay or used as trade bait. its an amazing, fresh, ipa. sometimes 6-7 days old. it should be consumed in ct, and immediately. apparently there was people following trucks when it first came out and everything.

i have a store im a regular at. they always hold a 4 pack for me. its usually about once a month. and thats 48 more cans of SOS then i got last year, so im happy.

in the meantime, that 'punk' mentioned earlier is right. there are plenty of other great beers. maybe not the ones he named . but there is. stop being so spoiled and pushy and maybe these people wont be so harsh on you. take what you can get and be happy for that. this time last year we werent getting any SOS at all.

it really baffles me to see anyone has a hard time finding this beer unless you are being greedy or hoarding it. i have no issue finding it and i dont even look for it. i live in a smaller city with a store that usually only gets one case. and i have plenty of SOS to keep me happy.

Hopefully that is a serious "cool" and not a sarcastic one , cause who can tell on the internet ? Haha. But either way, thank you for your Delicious beverage, and for bringing it to our state.

My problem with this practice is less to do with them selling it to regulars (I also haven't had trouble getting it at my regular store) and more to do with how some stores will just lie about it. If you're only selling it to regulars, be honest about it; this applies to all beers and not just SOS. The only thing worse than lying about it is lying about it and gouging your regulars.

I agree, it's wrong to lie about it. I imagine it's just to avoid a possible confrontation , but that doesn't make it right.

It tends to bite most stores in the ass eventually so it rarely will avoid all confrontation. If you lie about it enough you're going to end up lying to someone who is friends with a regular or get exposed on reddit/BA/twitter. Or you run into the situations like in this thread where one employee will lie about it and another offers to get some. It's just all around bad practice that never really pans out well.

I 100% agree it is immoral. And unwise as a business practice. Wasn't trying to excuse it, just offering a possible motivation. Doesn't make it right what so ever.

Ninety9 Bottles tweeted yesterday that they had them, but said they were only getting two in at each spot, and guessed they would be priced at $140. Pretty cool though.

    +1 on the string cheese

It doesn't look like the cans are hitting distro in CT this time around. Our HDI salesman told us that, while the cans are ready and waiting at Two Roads, it seems like they're all headed up to VT for the Lawson event.

So please, don't call and inquire at all your local stores this weekend, lol.

I'm going to be driving up to Mass from Jersey on the 13th and back down on the 17th. Anyone know what day 99 bottles gets their SoS delivery? Anywhere else off major highways recommended?
