Lately, I've been ordering hop-forward brown ales whenever I can find them on a draught list. My favorites to date are Armada from Rising Tide Brewing and Good Humans from Short's Brewing.

Any other go-to recommendations for a hoppy brown, local or widely distributed?

DFH Indian Brown Ale would be the obvious answer for widely distributed. And it's good, too!

Try Epic Brewing's Santa Cruz Brown Ale. To my palate it was a hop bomb.

Flying Dog Counter Culture Ale and Anchor Breckle's Brown. Both are rather excellent. Reminds me, I need to edit my FD review, which was the result of a damaged dinner tongue

Stone's Imperial Mutt Brown, I thought, was pretty spot on for a hoppy brown. If you can still get it off the shelves around where you live I definitely recommend it.

I thought SixPoint Beast Mode was basically Durty Lite, so I was a fan of that. Durty, as has been said already is a beer I always look forward to. Lagunitas WTF is pretty good too.

Bruery's Ride the Pony is one of the best I've tried (for now its brewery only, unfortunately).
