Since my cousin and their pyrotechnic crew obviously have some obligations around Independence Day, our private show ends up being the last to the party. We have been assembling racks and stripping wire all week. Getting down to crunch time now and the weather is not cooperating. Running out of room under the tents, so rain delays are beer drinking time.

    L to R: 4" shell, 6", 8", 10".

Not sure if you can see last pic or if there are 2. Photobucket is being a jerk and the internet is apparently sleeping with it

That's the most head I've seen from any of your pours. Is everything okay?

Pump House Muddy River Stout (Moncton, New Brunswick)! The beer was initially too sweet so I decided to stick 4 in my cellar back in January and let them age for a few months. This bottle was the last of the six-pack and I'm happy to say that the cellaring was incredibly successful! Not only has the sweetness subsided almost completely (from the taste at least) but the beer feels more balanced overall. Interesting butterscotch notes also developed after aging.
    Cheers!

Enjoying this out back on another cool day. I knew I was in for a world class treat the second I popped the cap. I could drink this every day! Many thanks to @JNForsyth for making it possible via the NBS/BIF. I'm so ready for the weekend!

Something I haven't heard in a long while......

The ladies are off shopping, so I've taken father in law to the Baystreet Bier Garten. Both of us are enjoying dopplebocks:

Just had my second bottle of Busch Signature Copper Lager. Decided to do things a little differently this time around and put one of my glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes or so before I poured the beer in. Turns out, this beer is actually a lot better when it's kept very cold -- while it still wasn't great, this glass of it did not have me regretting my decision to buy and drink it by the end the way the first one did. It actually wasn't too bad at all, especially considering I paid what I usually consider to be a 6-pack price for a 12-pack of the stuff.

Quote from my review: "I've heard that beer being very cold mutes flavors, but in this case it only seemed to mute the one flavor I really didn't like -- allowing the nicer flavors to come through a bit more. If there was ever a beer where the frosted pint glass is "proper glassware," this is it -- those icy mountains on the bottle aren't just decoration, they're a serving suggestion."
