My beer budget is an unreasonably large part of my income.

I average a beer haul every other week, and I spend around $40 each time.

I would be a rich man if I spent $60 a month on beer. I spent something like $7500 last year, and am on pace to meet or top that again this year. Fingers crossed for that big raise that I'm supposed to get at the end of August. Beer is fun.

A wise man once told me, "Beer and air conditioning are off the budget."

Don't have one. I buy what I want. Beer spending is not a large % of my income at all.

I stick to my budget and then splurge every now and then. You'll all laugh. I spend about $25 a week on a 12pack of pils or lager and bomber. Or a couple six packs of IPA, or a couple sixers of singles etc . . .When I started tasting beer I spent more I admit.

No real budget, but usually spend about $100 (not including beers purchased while out at pubs).
Once a month I buy a case of HT (only save a 4pack at most for myself) That costs $80. What I get in return for the HT is most of what I drink at home. I always have a keg of homebrew running as well.
Months with special releases or similar I will spend more.

My husband and I both enjoy craft beer, so this budget is for two. We spend on average $100 per week at our bottle shop on local favorites and wide distro new releases. About once a month, we will attend a special release, visit a brewery or buy beer online, which typically amount to roughly $400-500. We both realize this is a lot of money; however, most hobbies are expensive, and this is one that we enjoy together.

I have "reduced" my budget this year...last year it was about $50-75 per week, and this year I have cut back on weekly purchases and instead take trips to VT and NY every couple of months...where I spend a few hundred bucks each time. I still buy beer locally, but most of my budget is aimed at those trips where I get the "good stuff" things I can't get in the local Canadian market.

Newly married, figuring out budget, I am definitely not like the rest listed above as "IDGAF buy beer now all the time" realm.

I try to buy at least a 6 pack a go-to IPA (usually Jai Alai, or Loose Cannon), a 6/4 pack of a go-to stout (usually Old Rasputin, or Barney Flats) and then at least a a few if not a six pack of new individual bottles that peak my interest (usually saisons, new IPA's, quads, and tripels).

I rotate that with having a scotch or Old Fashioned when I feel like grabbing something other than a beer and it does me fine for a month.

It depends on how often I'm drinking in a bar. 2 pints + tips can be $15.00 easy. A lot of good 12 packs here are less.

Between filling growlers for personal consumption, releases, and cellaring/trading it's much more than I'd ever admit.

I have a hellava good system.....i get paid every 2 weeks......on payday, i pull a 100 dollar bill out and put it in my wallet away from any other cash.....i have three places i beer shop, all close to home and i usually make a pit stop once a week to each of them to see what just hit the shelves......when the hundred is spent i wait till i get paid again.....seems to be working good for me so far, usually comes out to 200 a month and i think thats reasonable when u think about the fact that i buy beers i drink now and others (like special releases) that i cellar for the future or a special occasion....

I always go into a store with an idea on what i want to spend, theres no monthly budget or weekly budget but if i go out searching for a specific beer or style i allow myself a certain amount of money. Usually $30-$40. If i go in specifically for something then i tend to know what im spending.

Beer budget is $50/month, and my personal 'allowance' fund is $50/month, so I never spend more than $150/month

Joking aside, I stick to the budget which, yes, means sometimes I have to pass up something I really want (e.g. back a few months there were five days left in the month, and I had to pass up a bottle of High Westified which, of course, was gone a week later). The budget helps keep things in perspective and keeps me from getting too carried away (I'd easily drop $200+ without batting an eye).

Plus, I like to think that my liver is happier.

The way to save money home brewing is to compare it to bomber pricing.

I buy what I want to drink, generally. Rarely is cost a question... I've worked hard to get a good career, and if I pamper myself with beer, that's better than pampering myself with blow or hookers.

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I spent $20 a week. Lately I have not been drinking so I might have spend like $24 the past 2 months.

But I have been trying to cut down drinking to not gain weight.
