Doing a Nelson hopped rye saison. Which I meant to brew last week, but didn't have time. Using WLP566, first time.

Getting ready to leave on Sunday for the yearly bouldering-and-hiking-in-the-Columbia-River-Gorge-and-Mt-Hood beercation in the Portland Oregon area...I'm stoked!

I didn't brew for a few weeks and after the Zombie Dust clone last week, I finished up the rest of the 3 beers (actually 5, a Citra 644 DIPA and a honey brett saison will be ready to bottle) that are going to be ready to keg when I get back in a few weeks...Wednesday I brewed up a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone and this morning I brewed up a hoppy hefeweizen with Citra and Nelson. I cleaned out 3 finished kegs today, capping a growler and a half of Pliny the Toddler before it kicked. Cleaned and delabeled around 100 bottles this past week too.

Just transferred 5.5 gallons of None More Black imperial stout to secondary for aging. Final abv before bourbon addition: 30.26%. Soaking three types of oak, vanilla beans, and cacao nibs in bourbon to be added in a few months. Then Mostra coconut cold press when I keg.

Wow! So what does it taste like? The the strongest beer I ever had was some Sam Adams that was like prune syrup, not too good.

Got a 75% wheat hefe brewed yesterday, in spite of the assistant brewer's constant slacking off:

Going to brew a honey beer, I would like a strong honey taste but I am a bit afraid of hard hang-overs.

Brewing up a witbier with Hull Melon and Amarillo. Trying to get something to bridge the gap for my dad who isn't a big fan of big flavors and a buddy who loves his Blue Moon... Hopefully this will do the trick. I'm excited for it as well, so it's not just for them.

No brewing. I am slacking. But I will be bottling the dryhopped wild over the weekend and dropping a few bottles off for comp. Last few beers have been lackluster, need to brew an old reliable and get my feet wet again.

Classic big stout flavors: dark chocolate, roasted coffee, toffee, dark fruit. Not very sweet. Strong alcohol burn. Really tasty!

Dam, I wish I had a goat to help me brew. Does he clean out the mash tun for you?

Just finished bottling decided I'm going to brew tomorrow. Going to do two ipas with some yeast I havent tried before. Im going to use RVA's heady strain with some simcoe and citra and their two hearted strain with centennial and mosaic. Excited to try the new yeast.

A little, along with her 2 brothers and our miniature horses, but it's pretty rich for them, so just a little taste and the rest is composted or tilled into a garden. The goats will also 'help' me drink my beer if I'm not careful.

No brewing. Dry hopped an IPA and Black IPA, kegged a BoPils, and bought ingredients for an Oktoberfest of which half will become Schwarzbier. Come to think of it, I did brew a starter for the 2124 yeast.

A single hop IPA with polaris.
Never used this hop but iy was a fresh batch at the local HBS
Thought it would be interesting to see clearly the kind of aroma they contribute.

Also a few processing tweaks on my go-to IPA recipe for this one.
