Since I've moved to the TC area, this Brewery has become my go to on a pretty regular basis. I buy 51K more than any other IPA these days and I enjoy Grand Rabbits when i just want an easy drinker, I even find it to be better than Spotted Cow in the cream ale category. Right now their Presque Ale is the one I can't seem to get enough of. It has eased the pain of Hopstache being gone from my fridge. I dont see a whole lot of talk about them here so i thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure yet. Their brown and stout are both quite nice as well.

I just had their Coconut Brown last night. It's my favorite brown ale now. It was really good.

They're doing great work up there. 51K is also my go-to IPA lately. Also recently released have been Hiawatha Wheat and a Classic American Pilsner. Honey Lav makes some killer shandies, too.

Really enjoying Presque Ale this weekend. I would buy 51k weekly if there was a can date.

I like blackrocks but never see them in the Hillsdale area. I've had their coconut brown and really enjoyed it. Hoping to make it up to the brewery next year if work will allow it

Anyone here still seeing flying hippo bombers in stores? From my understanding it hasn't been brewed for about 3 years yet I see it on shelves here and there. Amazing beer but I'd like to try a fresh bottle. Barbaric Yawp also kicks ass

Their Coconut Brown is excellent and the stout, North Third, is damn good. I wasn't super impressed with Grand Rabbits but I don't drink a lot of cream ales. I need to try some more of their brews.

I visit the UP every summer and make sure to stop there. Always had good beers there and the people have always been extremely friendly. Always take some Coconut Brown back to Milwaukee with me along with any other special releases they have available.

My wife and I did a weeklong camping/brewery tour of the UP a couple weeks ago. Blackrocks was easily our favorite out of 10 breweries we visited. We got lucky and they released the Hiawatha Wheat the night we were in Marquette. Exceptional on draft and really good in cans too. The Presque ale is killer too. This reminds me that I have one can left to polish off soon...

If you can get to the taproom and they've got their Hair of the Dog bloody mary beer on, get it. Absolutely awesome. Had the hiawatha and presque this weekend, both super solid and i totally agree with the coconut brown love. Great brewery.

I haven't seen that in the U.P. in quite awhile, but wouldn't be surprised if there were still some bombers hiding around. It's been over a year since they've done any bomber release at all. I don't know if they gave up on that program to focus on canning seasonals, or what. Personally it doesn't bother me either way.
