What's your favorite Session IPA?

    I think I've pretty much tried all the session ipas available in MA. The ones I like best are probably All Day and Pinner, but they're all pretty watery and with my need for taste I find I don't really want to session them. That being said I've recently rediscovered Berkshire Brewing Lost Sailor IPA. Not technically a session ipa, but at 5.5% it's pretty close. Really well made beer with a great flavor profile with no watery finish. Being available in 12 pack cans doesn't hurt either. Haven't read the whole thread, so if someone has already mentioned this beer. Sorry

    Been drinking sunshine daydream all weekend and really like it. Holds up against some higher abv/bigger ipas out there.

    Still not a fan of the "session IPA" tagline. Just make a good pale ale or esb. My favs include well made Pale Ales like Sierra Nevada PA & Firestone 31. Notable good beers in the session category are Oskar Blues Pinner (thankfully called a Throwback IPA) and Stone Go To.

    I have two favorites:
    - Wet Hop MES from Acoustic is the champ at 3.8% - M.E.S. stands for the hops: Mosaic, Equinox, and Simcoe
    - Down To Earth Session IPA - 21st Amendment for its fruity and less bitter light character

    I think my favorite 2 that I've tried, although I don't often reach for this style, are Carton Boat Beer and Oskar Blues Pinner. If I didn't know they were "session", I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference against a stronger IPA.

    Session IPAs are generally bad, and I think the only reason they're made is to appease crossover consumers. They have no balance and taste like aspirin a lot of the time. That being said, Daytime is pretty decent along with go to, bikini beer and all day. Pinner was pretty bad, Hop Job from foothills was bland (and also makes me say hand job in my head everytime I read it.)

    This style is for goobers and kindergarteners. Drink a pale ale and be done with it.

    I don't think you can beat 'All Day IPA' for the price point. Has become by go-to beer for yardwork, poolside, etc.

    They don't market it as a session IPA but Ozark Beer Co. Ozark IPA at 5.5% abv is quite drinkable.

    I'm not a huge session IPA guy, but just had the Orpheus Peace.War.Truth.Lie last night and it was awesome. That is definitely a beer you can enjoy the whole day and not hit the wall too soon. Gonna have to get some more today.

    These session ipas to me are hoppy and full of flavor and taste just like regular ipas to me. I dont have an issue with them.
