Bad Trader: Mscanlon31

Alright, so...this is irritating. Over 250 trades (between here and other spots) and finally came across a bad trader. I sent out a 750mL growler of Tree House 3rd Anniversary Double Shot to @Mscanlon31 back on 6/22 on the date agreed upon (and was supposed to get a growler of Angry Chair's Fudge Bucket). That Wednesday, when I had not heard back from him with a tracking number I contacted him, to which he apologized for the delay. That Friday I messaged him again confirming the fact that he still had not sent a tracking number. He again apologized saying his work house are the same as the fedex drop location he uses and proceeded to state he would send out on Monday (6/29).

He stated that he would be getting me a fresh growler that Friday (6/26) as I expressed my concern over him sending out a growler that would at this point be over two weeks old. I declined his offer to swap the growler out for a different beer (as Fudge Bucket looked different and I had not had anything from that brewery before). Again, he apologized, stating he was not prepared to be asked to work four 14 hour shifts that week (the reason why he had not shipped).

That Monday comes and goes, still no tracking number. I ask him about it and he states that he was at work since noon and would be off the next two days and send out on Tuesday (6/30). Tuesday comes and he states he is going to sleep then get the growler. On 7/3 he sends me a picture of what he says is the growler top, saying he got it filled and was packing it up and saw it may leak so he was getting one filled that day to replace it. That is the last I hear from him until I message him on 7/5 asking for a tracking number. On 7/8 he messages me back stating Angry Chair has not gotten any 32oz growlers in and if I would be okay with a different growler filled with Fudge Bucket. I remind him that he said he was getting a new growler filled last week, stating I've been more than patient, etc. Told him I didn't care what the glass was as long as I got a growler of Fudge Bucket and a tracking number (by 7/13 I told him).

Meanwhile, throughout these weeks he has been actively browsing and posting in ISO:FT. INCLUDING IP TRADES! So, clearly he has the time and ability to do beer related things. I suppose law of averages...more I trade the more likely I'll run into someone who falls under this category. I just would rather no one else gets fleeced or misled by this individual.

He is verified. We went through the feedback system on BA. He has not left me feedback, and I have have just given him a 'bad'

 

Yeah..I know. I've been following Angry Chair and was quite confused when he said they had no growlers anymore...

 

I stated I wanted a tracking number by 7/13. I posted late 7/12 after not having heard any communication from you other than an 'ok' for what was going on 4 days. Gave you almost 21 days to provide a tracking number/proper communication. Most people send out on Mondays...if you had other trades incoming and this really was a fleecing I wanted others to be aware before they sent their ends out.

 

No agreement, I just said on 7/8 I wanted a tracking number by 7/13. There was not even an implication I wanted him to wait until Monday, that was an ultimatum.

Mike, you ask what more did I want you to say...how about a message every day stating you weren't shipping that day instead of leaving me in the dark for the majority of this transaction. You clearly had time to communicate when you're browsing the message boards and completing or finalizing ip trades.

 

He has stated that he, and I quote, "has shit to do today and will send out on the 14th". He also requested I deleted this thread.

So yah...

 

Getting back on topic, I will post when I get a tracking number.

I had got a very unexpected message from someone who will remain nameless regarding Fudge Bucket, so, if this all falls through it won't be a complete loss.
