If anyone in VT didn't get tickets and would like the case of SOS, please BM me. My fiance is coming with, and I do not need two cases. Can't wait, Soul Monde plays great music and the food menu looks great.

I'm bringing the wife too, so we are getting an extra case that I don't really need.

If anyone wants to meet up and trade let me know!

Not the smoothest Lawson's release (a bit too much time standing around doing nothing, especially for a ticketed event), but as always the entire Lawson's crew was super friendly and helpful. Nitpicking for sure, but no limits for those the second time through basically meant the first ten people got whatever they wanted and those after got little to nothing. Selling the cases of Sip for $60 each the second time through meant they went pretty fast!

I thought this was by far the best beer release I've ever been to. The weather was incredible, the pub wasn't crowded at all, the band was amazing as always, and the beer in draft was delicious.

I had a great time. Couldn't believe someone paid $300 for two cases of Maple Triple

did anyone ask what makes the Sip bottles "commemorative"? Did they find a bunch of extra labels they needed to use up, did they run out of cans, etc?

$300 per case at the end of the sale after everyone else got their allotment.

I was wondering the same thing. Nothing "commemorative" or "limited edition" about them really aside from being in glass again. Also was a little surprised to see them bottled on 6/25 when the event was 7/11. Over 2-weeks was a little bit of a freshness bummer. Still a nice event though.

Great event. Gave away a growler to someone who offered to share cooler space. Only downside was missing the stout.

Agreed it was another great LFL event. If you PM me your information I will return your growler with something nice. Cheers and good meeting you!

"2 weeks is a freshness bummer"? What world are we in? Freshness has jumped the shark.

Yes, actually, it is a bummer...and freshness is crucially important. None more so than for a DIPA like SoS. I've asked the folks at Lawson's before how soon they recommend you drink their hoppy beers...and they have said 1-month or under.

When you pay for the ticket to the event, and get a case of beer that is already 2-weeks and 2-days old...you've got a short window to try to enjoy 12-bombers in their optimal freshness.

I was just saying how I was quite surprised that for Lawson's only official bottle release the whole Summer...that the bottling of SoS wouldn't have been planned closer to the event date.

Times are a changin' with the importance of brewery freshness, and most people are really starting to take notice and care...including both the brewers and consumers.
