Has anyone seen any Wormtown anything around in the past few months? I've seen it on draught, but not in stores. Would be nice to be able to grab a 6 pack of Bottle Rocket every now and again, not to mention Be Hoppy.

Be Hoppy popped up all over WMass at the end of last week. Haven't really seen any other offerings in a while.

IMO Wormtown is enjoying being a local tap room a little too much. I guess I don't blame them from what the brewery use to be and what it is now. Huge change. They just have not ramped up retail production. Plenty of beer if your local and want growlers.

If Wormtown makes it to Eastern Mass, it's usually gone within hours.

There have definitely been a few can drops recently, but as has been said they go quick. I actually haven't heard anything about them bottling Bottle Rocket, although with the new equipment I wouldn't be surprised.

My friend is the new packaging manager. They're just getting that new system dialed in. Bet you'll be seeing more in the very near future.

Eh, good for them for capitalizing on what seems to be an unlimited demand for their beer. Margins are much higher for pints consumed on premises vs bottles/cans going out the back door. What good capitalist/business owner wouldn't shift the business model to get the best of both worlds? Plus it sounds as if they're still settling in to the new set-up and we'll probably start to see more retail in the future.

I don't think Be Hoppy or any of Wormtown brews are overrated. I think outside of Be Hoppy they would actually be underrated. Be Hoppy is not the same ipa profile as Tree House or Trillium, it is a bit more balanced, and equally as tasty. There is a reason it flies off the shelf, its a Delicious + crushable IPA - and its reasonably priced too. They just installed a bottling line at the facility, and that should increase the availability. They were using Iron Heart mobile canning.

Overrated or not, I like them. To see a solid, local APA available regularly would be a good thing. I have given up on chasing Be Hoppy, if that becomes more easily accessible its just a bonus. I wouldn't expect much fanfare over Bottle Rocket, but I think its tasty. I visited the brewery a few weeks ago, nice digs.

Did the 12oz 6pack bottles make it to stores?

This week's inventory list for the western Mass distributor shows no cases, just draft. Logs and 13.2g of Bottle Rocket, Be Hoppy, and Blonde Cougar. I'll ask if they get bottles out here.

Asked about Wormtown in western mass, was told, "Cans do in a very limited way. Hopefully bottles soon but none yet."

Are bottles/cans generally available at the brewery? I'm going to be near there next Thursday and am going to try to swing by.

I heard that the yield on the first bottling run was less than expected, they kept half for sale at the brewery and sent the other half to their Central, MA distributor. None of it made it to Boston.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any of the cans from the 7/2 run in Greater Boston, as they typically make it here, with a number of accounts receiving 1-2 cases.

Not regularly, no. But you can always get growlers of be hoppy.

I had Be Hoppy for the first time at the Brimfield Antique show. Pretty good.

They said on Twitter today that Be Hoppy cans were 2-3 weeks out.
