Agree 100% Bill. Torpedo (along with most things SN puts out) is my go-to IPA and I hope it never changes. Keep up the good work!

You do realize that there can be more than one "style" that's "modern" at the same time, right? Some people's tastes have changed but that doesn't mean A) everyone's has or that B) some haven't changed in different ways. Look at the PNW and you'll see lots of "modern" IPAs that don't really fit your bill in that they still have a solid malt backbone. Is Boneyard's Hop Venom not "modern?" It, and Torpedo, feature much more aromatic hops (at least the Torpedo I remember) and more citrus / tropical notes than a more classic bitter / piney style of IPA. And they are aggressively dry-hopped. You do realize that torpedo is named after a "hop torpedo" - a device invented specifically to dry hop beers in a "modern" way?!?

When you say "significantly" I'm curious what you mean ... because if you're referring to actual volumes of beer production and / or actual raw numbers of consumers, it's probably not significant. The Tree Houses and the Trilliums of the world are pushing some boundaries but it's reaching a small number of people. Tastes have not shifted en masse. What they do is currently very trendy - which is not to dismiss it as irrelevent, but it's quite niche. The difficulty of scaling this up to any "significant" size is obvious - getting that quantity of hops, dealing with freshness on a product that is FAR more volatile, etc. By it's nature, I suspect it will have to remain niche.
