    Good morning all. Another steamy/rainy day ahead. Perhaps some Yeti will brighten the way:

    Chocolate nose and cocoa powder taste. Even so, wood dominates on the finish and the linger, masking the bittersweet chocolate and peppers ( both of which are there ). Still, very good - the morning is brighter. Cheers!

    Good morning BAs! It's a beautiful sunny day here in NW PA after a night which dipped into the low 50s. Going to do some exterior painting today prior to the new door. And here's a new brew for me:

    This is the second excellent coffee stout I have tried this week, the other being Black House by Modern Times. This one is brewed with real coffee though so it truly is like having half a stout, half a beer. It's very similar to Peche Mortel for those of you who have tried that beer. Both are delicious though.

    I got this as an extra in a trade a couple months ago and, disappointingly, I can't even remember from whom. However, it may end up being one of my favorite new (to me) beers of the year so far. I wish I could give proper thanks to the awesome BA that sent it to me, so I will send that thanks out into the Beeriverse. Delicious, delicious stuff. Cheers all, and happy Thursday!

    Picked up some Mikkeller better half and simcoe hopped ipa yesterday. quite nice. not overly sophisticated but both are very solid. if it wasn't so expensive id probably drink either/both more often.

    Fantastic it is. =] I'm glad I rediscovered it for myself several months ago. I remember trying it several years ago—wow, almost ten??—and feeling like I was choking it down. Amazing how much opinions can change over time.
