Who's YOUR main drinking buddy?

My wife. She's a stout/porter person, almost exclusively. She especially likes anything that is barrel-aged. At our favorite beer bar, she's disappointed when there aren't 4 stout/porters to fill out a sampler, so she's been slowly branching into other dark, strong styles...quads, Belgian dark ales, etc. She doesn't have any interest in hops.

At this point, her selections take up more space in our fridge than mine do, especially as I gravitate to Pilsner, IPA, and other styles that are usually best consumed fresh.

 

My dog! I love to go outside and drink a beer and she will always come outside and sit with me and never complains about the music we listen to and does not pass judgement on how many beers I drink. My wife comes in 2nd place but she will only drink wine and she drinks at a much slower pace than I do.

 

My wife, got her into beer and she is currently entrenched in a pretty substantial IPA phase. Problem with that is, of course, she is drinking my IPAs!!

 

My best beer buddy is my friend John, a childhood friend. The last time I was back in Pennsylvania, we would have a fire in his backyard every weekend and decimate some fine Michigan craft beer.

Since I have been in California though, my best beer drinking friend has been my computer and the Xbox.

 

My cousin, he is as close to a brother as I can have. I got him into beer and ever since then we have had many incredible beers together and there are many more to come. Also my Uncle, it's been great times sharing with him as well. They are my two favorite drinking partners. As many of us do, there many fine friends to enjoy beers with. The aforementioned are my tops

My wife, She has raised her appreciation from Leinies and Blue Moon to some IPAs, Pale ales, and Wit beers. When I bring home Grapefruit Sculpin she gets mad at me for drinking any because I should know that is the beer she likes.

 

My GF gave me a t-shirt with that exact image on it. Personally, I think the cat kinda looks like a wasted Yoda. :-)

Sasha Grey, former adult film star, sadly she never drinks beer with me.

 

My 2 year old toddler...JFK (not the airport or Yankee prez), but that old standard of my, myself, and I.

 

Based on this, I can't tell if you guys like beer or are swingers or both... Either way, kudos to you!

 

@millerbuffoon , @Knapp85 , and the late great @jhartley who recently moved away and is no longer with us so it's pretty much three of us on a regular basis right now with several others who are occasional. Another great tasting bud is @paulys55 but because of work schedules it doesn't happen that often and every now and then with @DaveHack.

Good question. I suppose it's my brother who is an even bigger craft fan than me and got me into it. Problem is we live on opposite coasts. But getting together 1-2 times a year becomes a big tasting fest. Unfortunately my friends are only mildly into it and with the baby and wife not a lot of opportunities.

 

I always wanted to party with Porterhouse, he seems he would be fun.
