I was reading the thread of the beers that met and didn't meet the hype and thought, I've had beers that should be hyped that aren't. Let's reveal them.

Kane A Night To End All Dawns - it's got a following and trades well but it should be so much more. Last years version was the best BA stout I've ever had and my second highest rated beer I've rated.

Neshimany Creek JAWN - IMO criminally underrated at an 88. I'd take this over many pales I've had. I put it on the same level as Mo from Maine Beer and for the price of one Mo I can get a 6 pack!

Carton Boat - it gets love but I feel mostly from its home state. I've had tons of session ales and this one crushes them all without question. Great body and grapefruit punch from the hops.

There are others but that's all I'm giving up. What's yours?

Thirsty dog Siberian night great imperial stout, in my opinion better than most of the commonly mentioned great shelf stouts.
Boulevard tank 7 just an incredible beer that doesn't seem to get talked about nearly enough and would be highly traded for if their disto was more limited.

Nope, not gonna play this game. Why contribute to the frenzy? A lot of us are complaining about rising prices and increased difficulty in obtaining our favorite brews, and hyping them up only worsens that. Enjoy the fact that you've got a tasty, reasonably priced, easy to get brew.

A lot of Maryland beer in general.

Granted, the Flying Dog/Heavy Seas/DuClaw/Jailbreak crowd doesn't really deserve it, but breweries like RAR, Union, Burley Oak, Evolution, and Monocacy should be getting more love from people outside of the DMV. Burley Oak Sorry Chicky...Evolution Rise Up Stout...Monocacy Brewtus...Evolution Lot 6 DIPA...RAR Habanero Nectar...all great brews that nobody really knows about.

There's only a single beer from this state that trades well, and that's Union Double Duckpin (Gose Gone Wild did REALLY well a while back, but it's now retired). What's even sadder: the most hyped Maryland beer currently is still Sweet Baby Jesus. Enough said.

YES!!! THIS!!! You beat me to it! Not to sound like a broke record, but this is a fantastic IPA! It gets good ratings, but seems to fly under the radar in the BA world. Not that I am complaining, more for me! Haha!

White Rajah - Great IPA I can drink anytime
Bone head Red - Underrated hoppy red ale

Both are delicious and seem to be under hyped

I have a few beers in mind but I like the fact that I can still find them when I want to so I'm not so sure I want to increase their hype factor.

Lol, relax man if it's not hyped now this isn't gonna get it going. I've raved about some of the beers I mentioned and they are the same price. Respectable breweries won't take advantage.

Thanks for the heads up on RAR and Burley Oak. Never heard of them and now I have two places to check out on my beach trip in August. Double Duckpin is MD's best DIPA so its no wonder people want it. I'd also say that Flying Dog's Single Hop series is awesome as well and I find appreciated in trades since they might only be available locally.
