What beer are you drinking now? #1002

It's weird that I randomly picked up a quad yesterday, and yet totally forgot about the St. Bernardus tasting, which is one of my favorite quads. Aging + alcohol = dammit

After its warmed a bit, I'll have more on this one in NBS.

Got some Fatty's on , Little Bloody Mary Bar Set Up.
Even Lucy is ready to party ... But I think she thinks she heading to Margaritaville but that's Next Month for Us.

Enjoying a little Grapefruit Sculpin while my Fatty's Finish up. Gotta stick with the Breakfast theme for now.

Another warm and humid 90 degree day in the Buckeye state....got a nice 3+ mile early morning hike in already, before it gets too hot.....

This "Monsta" seems like a nice thirst quencher!!

Just mowed the lawn after taking the dogs for a walk. I deserve a break.

 

Bacon Fatty's or also known as Bacon Explosions but we need to know the contents on the inside. This guy taught me how to make these and they are incredible.

 

How about a Quad for a start?

 

Stuck at work so beer til later. Watching The Open. This thing is a horse race. Spieth and Dunne (the amateur from Ireland ) are my two I'd like to see win. Buddy played a lot with D Johnson in college and said a world class DB so not pulling for him. Anyone can win this thing, well except Tiger and myself. I'll be posting up later. Cheers ya'll .

Great day to be at the pool. Enjoying the shade while it lasts. This was brewed by Beltway Brewing Company of Sterling, VA for Diamondback Beer out of Baltimore, MD.

 

Nice Berliner as usual. Lightly tart lemon, peach, pear, apple, hay, straw, and grassy earthiness; with light-moderate wheat/crackery malt balance. Crisp/lightly acidic finish. A good all around example of the style, though I to prefer a bit more acidity and wheat malt robustness overall.


Always incredible Belgian amber ale. I'd put this right up with Hennepin, pretty much world class level. Big flavors of pear, apple, orange peel, banana, coriander, clove, peppercorn, caramel, toasted biscuit, candi sugar, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Crisp/spicy yeast finish and very smooth. Awesome all around balance between yeast, spice, and bready/candi sugar malt flavors. I haven’t seen this in 4 packs for a while; but now that it’s back, I am going to be buying it far more often. Amazing beer.


My go-to milk stout. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toast, dark bread, cream, and light vanilla; with some balanced earthy/herbal hop flavors and light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness; with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Last one in the fridge, it’ll be back soon enough. Such a great beer.


Awesome batch this year as usual. Big mango, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with moderate honey/bready malt sweetness and balance pine/grassy bitterness. Moderately creamy/sticky mouthfeel and smooth finish for the ABV. Doesn’t really hold a candle to Chillwave, but I always love it anyways. Everything I would expect out of a midwest DIPA.
