I couldn't figure out how to search from the mobile app so here it goes. My aunt and uncle will be traveling to Fond du Lac from traverse city Michigan next week. They said they would stop by some stores en route and get me some beers. I've really like everything I've had from New Glarus. I was wondering how easy their stuff is to find and what else I should ask them to pick up. Thanks

For New Glarus, look for a retail establishment that sells alcohol inside these lines. If they don't have any, contact the state alcohol board because something went wrong.

Lol thanks for the advice savant! Glad to hear that since I really liked their stuff. I've had the belgian red, raspberry tart, and a slightly sour red/brown whose name I cant remember. Any particular beers that are your favorite?

Berliner and scream would be a couple good ones.

Scream iipa is great. I like all their fruit beers, and of course spotted cow. New Glarus is everywhere in Wisconsin you'll find everything you're looking for.

I'm not a huge fan of sours, but NG Serendipity is excellent and I highly recommend trying to get that. I was able to get a couple bottles of Toppling Goliath Pompeii at three cellars outside milwaukee. if you're lucky you might find some Pseudo Seu, I couldn't find any.

Make sure to check to bottling date. Julian style on the neck or case box. Saw Scream at Kenosha Woodman's with and 0715, and the freshest ANY of the other offerings was 01395. Ugh!

I mean, other than New Glarus -

I am a big fan of Lake Louie's Scotch Ale and the Reserve Scotch Ale.
Central Waters does excellent beer - especially their stouts (bourbon barrel-aged, or bombers).
    Ale Asylum.
    Lakefront.
    Milwaukee Brewing.
    Mobcraft.

There are some weirder little breweries popping up and sometimes you find some gems.

I love this beer but I haven't bought it in 9 months because everything is always over 90 days old. They'd be better off making it a seasonal.

Anything by Central Waters is great. HHG should be still kicking around I think

I just got back from a vacation in northern Wisconsin and I will have to second NG Moon Man. Sessionable and hoppy. Wish I could get it here!

If you want something unique, pick up MKE Brewing O-Gii. I always send a can as an extras in trades, and everybody really likes it. It's over 9% and that shit will sneak up on you, so be careful. :stuck_out_tongue:

    - Enigma
    - Scream IIPA
    - Berliner Weisse

    Central Waters
    - Any Barrel Aged beers that are lingering on shelves (none in MKE area)
    - Mudpuppy Porter
    - Sumarillo IPL

    Ale Asylum
    - Velveteen Habit
    - Hopalicious
    - Pantheon
    - Bedlam!

    Milwaukee Brewing Co.
    - Hopfreak

You think so? I guess I shouldn't say that it's not decent after 90 days, but for $10-$11/ 4 PK I have a hard time justifying an IPA is just pretty good. Especially knowing how delicious it once was.

a few currently in the fridge:

Lake Louie > Blue Peter "Dortmunder" style export beer (cool new bottle cap)
Lakefront > Growing Power organic farmhouse ale
    New Glarus > Yokel lager

and a 2nd on that bomber from Central Waters, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades pale ale (the band is good too)
