Me, May 2015: "You know what? I'm going to abstain from buying IPA's for a while (note: I said buying, if someone brought them over, okay). I've got a little palate fatigue. I'll stick to summer ales and lagers."

This was actually quite enjoyable. So I decided I wouldn't buy IPA's or double IPA's "until I go to Tree House on July 18th." At that visit, I figured, I'd pick up Julius or Green or Haze (one I've never had actually).

Alas, my visit coincides with Ma, TWSS (my favorite), Eureka, and Tornado.

Another great visit. Reminisced with Lauren & Dean over the tap list on my first visit in October of 2012: Julius, TWSS, Old Man. "Great lineup!" said Dean.

Guess IPA purchasing will wait another few weeks. My fridge is stocked.

P.S. I have a bunch of TWSS, including a 750. Anyone ever put a little age on it? I love this beer, but wondering how it'll be in, say, a month. Tops.

I held on to a growler of TWSS last summer. At least 3-4 weeks, maybe 5. Since there wasnt any significant hoppiness to drop off, I didnt notice any discernable difference between day 1 and day 35. Plenty of carbonation remained. It was still delicious.

I want to thank the generous couple from Springfield that my wife and I ran into on Friday at Foley Bros. They were on their way to VT Beerfest and ran back into the taproom to hand me a cold can of Julius.

Drank it last night and it was amazing. I love the beer community. Thank you.

Any guesses on what (if anything) will be available in cans on Thursday? I'm going to be in Springfield Thursday afternoon for a meeting and will be passing near(ish) to TH on the drive back to Boston. Fingers crossed...

I apologize in advance and I'm sure this question is repetitive.

I'm from Iowa traveling to Boston and I'd like to try some Tree House. I checked their website and this thread but no luck finding locations close to downtown. On tap or by the can would be great. Would anyone suggest a bar or liquor store close to downtown where I can get the best options for craft beer? Tree House, Trillium, Night Shift, other NE stuff. Or is Lord Hobo, Row 34 and Sunset Grill my best options?

Right now Tree House is only available at the brewery.

Ditto for Trillium, by and large. Pick up bottles at Trilliium; pretty convenient to downtown. Nightshift can be found in bars and bottle shops around Boston, although the brewery may be your best bet for a variety of their stuff.

Trillium does sporadically have beers available at locations such as craft beer cellar

Used to. Hasn't happened for a while. If an out of town visitor wants to find trillium, they should plan to visit the brewery.

Maybe things will change when the new facility comes on line, but for now, I think this is the best advice.

Thanks, I'll visit Trillium for sure. How about an option for best draft selection downtown, like Jack's Abby and the sort?

Actually downtown: Tip Tap Room, Stoddards
Elsewhere in Boston: Row 34, Lower Depths, Bukowskis, Deep Ellum
    Brookline: Publick House
    Cambridge: Hobo, Mead Hall, Bukowskis

If you're in the area on 7/23 (Tomorrow), and looking to taste some NY hops at the same time, then check out Row 34...Other Half will be storming the taps

I definitely recommend hitting up Night Shift if you can make it to Everett. It really was not very far from Trillium. I went yesterday and the tap room is awesome. It is gigantic. The people are very nice and the beer is great. They also don't have limits on their cans at the brewery. Whirlpool and Santili are plentiful.

What is the cost of the new 16oz Whirlpool at the brewery? They popped up in WMass at $5.50 a can. I know there is a premium since somebody drove to get them, but still seemed a little taxed to me.

Whirlpool is $14 per 4pack ($3.50 a can). What store has it for $5.50 a can?

Great, 6PP is better than none. Looks like they only did a 30 barrel brew on this instead of the 60 barrel double brew for the Citra and Julius in prior weeks. Hopefully some here will review this beer with enough characters to quality to be included in the average. I would like to see it higher on the ratings. But would also like to see it in my cooler!
