    I wouldn't read anything into that. I'd imagine this is because they can't advertise them as "Pappy Van Winkle" barrels on the label without having to pay some sort of royalties to the company. The box and label for Bourbon County Rare never mentioned anything about Pappy barrels either.

    If they're calling it Pappy's Even More Jesus and it wasn't actually aged in Pappy barrels the shit storm would be enormous.

    I can't find any pappy locally,ever. I honestly don't think they ever make it to the shelf. There are so many good bourbons out there that I don't even think about PVW anymore. Lately I've fallen in love with E.H.Tylor Single Barrel

    Yea you definately have to know someone. It never makes it to the shelf anywhere lol. I just hate stores that auction it.

    See post #27. Those are the IBB barrels, but I'm assuming the same for EMJ.

    Pappy makes world class bourbon and is worth the hype not the gray market price though.

    Saying that, drinking a stout aged in a Pappy barrel versus any other decent bourbon barrel is going to taste almost exactly the same. However, I will still try to get it.

    The mythical pappy 21 eh?

    I'm glad to see Buffalo Trace takes the time to sand off the W L Weller serial and fill date legal brand, and replaces it with that fancy Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery branding when they sell the spent barrels. That rebranding alone will make the beer taste better.

    Well Bourbon barrel Biscotti break was about $30 at my local liquor store so my guess is you are not going to find it for 13-15$

    Just like Boris Van Wink. Just a play on words to get the point across to the consumer that it is aged in PVW barrels.

    No such thing as pappy 21. This beer will probably be $35 in the NY market and I bet $65 or so at tørst.
