Received word that Toppling Goliath is coming to Minnesota within the next couple of weeks. while it will probably be a shitshow for a while, I am looking forward to not having to drive an hour+ to get some. Nice news to wake up to.

 

I don't think Ive ever shotgunned a beer, but I was a beer snob even back in the day. I had a Bud when I was 16, and didn't touch beer again until I was about 20 when I found yuengling porter and black and tans. Haven really had a beer out of can until I found Oscar Blues and Westbrook.

 

For those of you scoring at home, my wife is scheduled to be induced on July 27th (if the baby doesn't arrive earlier).

 

Hopefully the baby comes earlier, induction is no fun.

 

Seriously, sleep at a friend's house the next 6 days. A NEARBY friend, but just not at home. Thank me later.

 

When my best friend called to tell me his wife was just induced, the 1st words out of my mouth, GO TO SLEEP NOW. Of course I don't have children. Two days later after this 1st shower in 3 days sitting at a pizza place, where ate for the 1st time in a little over a day, he said I should have listened to you and went to sleep. She was up all night moaning in pain.

 

Ok so @Damian74Shensky hit back after my civil war bomb hit his porch. Westbrook 4th is a beer I didn't want to beg for, and thought I wouldn't get to try and here it is. Another Mexican Cake, never had this beer and in less than a month @Clarkson and @cochell both sent one, so this makes 3. I love everything that I have had from Olde Hickory, so very happy to have another. I love you with all my stout another perawant. Plus two more stouts I have never heard of but can't wait to try either. Again thanks for your generosity with your return fire.

I don't always 'score at home', but when I do, it isn't on nights that I attempted to shotgun a crowler of SSU... The wife told me I'm an idiot.

 

That is worse than what my wife went through once she was in the hospital, but I'm talking about the time from due date to induction date. Those days might not compare to the intensity of being in the delivery suite, but they will be some of the longest days of your life.

Our daughter that was just born went 8 days late; she was supposed to be induced on the 7th day (a Friday) and they had to reschedule her. Thank Christ they gave her a Saturday appointment instead of waiting until the next Monday, but as it happens she went into labor on her own on that 8th day.

From her due date (really from 2 weeks prior, but especially from her due date) until the day she delivered was a LOOOOOONG week.

 

For those of you scoring at home, my wife's water just broke!
