New England Breweries in Planning?

Flying Dreams will be in Worcester. Going into Wormtowns old spot.

 

OEC is a unique case where they have funding and no immediate need to sell beer. Furthermore, they have access to all of the B United beers and barrels so they can blend other breweries beers. Not every brewery is going to start with those built in assets.

There are always exceptions. I don't know much about either to really comment.

 

Backacre sells out in less then a week and is worth seeking. The jury is still out on Hermit Thrush, but I don't like sours much.

 

Anyone hear rumors of one coming to Easton, MA?

 

I live in Norton and I heard rumors about a year ago of both Easton and Mansfield getting breweries. But I haven't heard a thing since.

 

@richobrien Have you hear anything about Cold Harbor brewing in Westborough?

 

The only new brewery I'm aware of in the Salem area is Notch has plans to open a beergarden/brewery. I've got a couple friends talking about opening breweries on the north shore, but it's still in the discussion phase.

 

Notch beer garden? Summer long patio tour?

 

Lamplighter Brewing just announced their new location - 284 Broadway in Cambridge. Just a couple of blocks from the Lord Hobo bar. My beer neighborhood keeps getting better!

According to their facebook page they are planning to open August 1

 

Bent Water Brewing in Lynn, MA. Will be opening early 2016??

 

Another new Boston-area brewery - Medford Brewing Co. According to the article in Boston Dig, they will be launching in Fall 2015 as a contract brewing label.

So we can expect a 2018 release date? Amirite? On a serious note I think there is now becoming a separation between people who love and want to make a quality product and those who just want to profit on a quick buck.

 

Honest Weight is being run by the former Head brewer at CBC and a brewer from CBC, Idle Hands and Enlightment. It's gonna be some good ish!

 

I haven't head anything about Franklin Brewing or any brewery in Franklin (i'm assuming we are talking Franklin MA)

 

A lot of these new breweries sound interesting but Honest Weight is the one I'm really excited about:
