IDK maybe malty is the wrong word. Its very "heavy" for a session ipa. I prefer something much lighter like pinner for example with is light like a pilsner but much hoppier.

Disagree. I found Pinner to be too watered down, but thought that All Day was a good balance. As far as sessions IPA's go, BP Even Keel is tops in my book.

I was blown away when I finally tasted Backwoods Bastard. Bourbon aged porter would probably be equally amazing. The stuff legends are made of.

Founders is my favorite brewery in the USA, & tied for top brewery with Weihenstephaner in the world! As far as a brewery that has a large selection of beers that I like a lot, founders is second to none.

You had to know some people would turn this into a Founder's hate thread. It's inevitable really.

Agree with all of the Founders love here. So incredibly grateful to have them here in Arizona where good beers are needed. I'm always looking forward to their next release on the beer calendar.

I stopped by Founders yesterday. I was going to have their Azacca IPA. I have had it before and it is really good. Not to mention it's a Class 1 beer at 8.5% abv. I was just about to order and I noticed a tiny posting on the wall that they were serving cask conditioned Double Trouble with coffee and cherry extract at 4:00PM. I looked at my phone and it was 4:01PM. So I changed my mind and got the Double Trouble and it was pretty mind blowing. I didn't pick up on the cherry extract at all but the coffee was quite pronounced. And the coffee muted the bitterness of the beer. I really loved that the hops flavor was still there but the bitterness was notably reduced.

There are lots of great places in the Grand Rapids area to grab a beer. My friends and I find ourselves going to Founders over half the time when we are in GR and we want a beer or two. Long story short, if you walk into Founders and can't find a beer that you like, you need to have your head examined.

I'm kicking myself for not leaving without a growler of the Azacca IPA. But I have too many empty Founders growlers at home and I didn't need another one.

Please don't intentionally start a ridiculous conversation.
(We all know you only drink double digit ABV anyway.)

You should think about spending more time outside and less time telling other people what their opinions are. Good God, what a waste of time that shit you posted was.

If you think you can tell other people what beer to like, you're an asshole.

    Fun game, thanks for playing.
