Haha just confuses about that because their database is way cleaner than it is here.

I'm usually a big Roundabout fan, but the church Berliner was 100 times better than Roundabout's this year which tasted like butyric acid and urine.

I was at roundabout over the weekend and I actually liked their Berliner. Their other offerings were really good also even tho I'm not a huge fan of Ipas.

And for what it's worth, I had the Bazaar Berliner. It was like the essence of perfume. Like someone had diluted lipsmackers with tap water. Not good. Would've rather had Lipsmakcers with tap water for 1.99 than Bazaar Berliner for $6.50.

Finally got around to drinking #boc...

I get no peanut butter at all. But I really liked the beer. If this were available once a year as a seasonal, I'd forego my annual case of wake and bake in favor of this. Very similar if you ask me. And for the record, mouthfeel was spot on for a 5% sweet stout.

    Also...fuck yeah Aramis Ramirez!! :grinning:

It's good because you aged it.

didnt know that was a thing. Unfortunate if true. I only had (12oz?) pours in snifters.
I think the waitress at Draai Laag unfolded that their "pints" arent 16oz either. But their prices are quite reasonable and beers tasty and homemade. I also could be off.

What are people typically willing to pay for growlers to go?
Obviously beer style, abv, location, limited brews, etc. all pose variability.
I just still havent yet dived into the growler scene in PA yet and curious what others generally pay.

There may have been a bit about this in the nuked thread, but a quick search couldn't turn it up.

In my experience, they don't discount at bars (at least those that I frequent), but breweries seem to run in the $10-15 range. Not super local, (sure others can quote you Brew Gentlemen and Roundabout--but I have filled up there), but Troegs and Victory run lower (starting at $7.50, which is quite nice).

Fat Heads, while they obviously don't brew here, charges higher than the above range for their beers; think Head Hunter is $17, and their one-offs can jump north of $25. GE unsurprisingly has sweet growler pricing, which is a treat when they have something like Alpine on tap.

Market district in waterworks is you best bet in my opinion. They have approximately 18 taps. Sunday morning stout was 13.99, same with breakfast of champions and blushing monk. Troegs perpetual was 9.99.

I basically never fill my growler outside of Giant Eagle or a brewery. Giant Eagle is so reasonable that I don't even bother asking for the price. At a brewery, I won't go over $20. $5 per pint is a more than reasonable expectation as a consumer when you are filling from the source.

Great movie but it's a movie that you'll be watching Youtube clips trying to get an explanation as to what the hell you just saw.
