I think splitting the sale is a great idea with the exception of people double dipping. Maybe they could check the list of the online winners today for the IP sales and if you're on the list as buying them online, then GTFO.

Not everyone works a 9-5 so for those people they can go get in line and get bottles no problem. For the people that work 9-5 or just can't make it there on a Thursday, they get a shot (yes, a few seconds but better than nothing) at getting a couple bottles. So IMO cheers to Toolbox for trying to take care of all your customers! Even the ones that live 5 minutes away but can't leave their job until 5.

I thought all of them were in person due to the # of bottles they had per variant.

I live in Vista and prefer BPT. Everything about it is easier than standing in line.

Did I mention I hate standing in line?

You're right David. Seems like every other release they have done on BPT though. Past releases are near the bottom right of the page. http://www.brownpapertickets.com/profile/661621
I'm surprised they didn't do any Blueberry Beatitude on BPT since they had 4500 bottles this time around!

Nope. My work commute is 2 miles down PCH in Carlsbad. I go home often for lunch. The beach is always packed, I always think wtf do these people do for a living?! It's not all just tourists either.

As of right now there is no line.. Not sure of bottles remaining. I asked bartender how many were left and she said "I have no idea".

Is everybody done whining? Can we go back to talking about the beer itself? Or am I on the wrong forum...

I tossed out the idea of splitting allocations and I got assed out. Mainly because I was on mobile and refreshing took my drop down of 2 to 1 to sold out with every "continue to purchase", am I butthurt? Not at all. I'm sure I'll toss out a trade for a berry bewitching in exchange for Lettuce, Carlton, Virgin cherry or Peachin and they'll probably be a bite. I mean, at least they took constructive suggestions and ran with them and it worked out to making both locals as well as weekend visitors happy.

this exactly how us KRBC local boys felt about the citra releases and then all the people from San Diego and LA cried after every release they didn't get bottles so now we have to deal with the shitty lottery releases. You should just appreciate what you do have and quit feeling so entitled

And what did you local boys get out of Citra blowing up big and injecting a ton of cash into the community because of those weekend visitors? Motels that were booked up for several weekends, A brewery expansion that probably wouldn't have happened without those weekend traveling crowds in the way it currently is happening.

Citra has always been accessible to those locals when it's brewed, and even the times when it's brewed for events such as Firestone and GABF and ISN'T bottled, thus on tap for those local and those willing to commute for a pint or two.

Now KRBC is building that back area and has growth because of it If it's at the cost of locals not strolling in and having all the citra to themselves, it's not such a bad sacrifice at all.

    Word.

Speaking of, has anyone cracked bottles of this yet? I thought it was great on tap when I had it a few weeks back. Bottles are usually better, no?

99% of the time bottles are better in my experience with feral beers. Assuming they are bottle conditioned.

I was a getting a bit more funkiness out of the bottle.

Bottles to be released next month.

Handful was so good and Woodwerx had it's issues. Where will Planet of the Apricots land?

Looking forward to the barrel aged apricot and peaches. While I do like what Toolbox is doing and have been buying them, I prefer my sours barrel aged.
