Did you get an email address or phone? Have you reached out to hos former trade partners?

Two weeks with no word is troubling, but what other steps have you taken to contact him?

 

Out him and tag him here. For that big of a trade, read the conversation July 11th and STILL has not responded? That's inexcusable let alone ignoring your previous messages as well. The longer you wait the more of a chance he may be scamming other people for more...well, at least he can't trade due to the verification system.

 

Usually when people post a thread asking whether a trade is turning bad that is the time to post a bad trader or should have been done already. If all of the facts you layed out are accurate, time as come to worry and tag this person.

 

I'd give him a finite amount of time (24-72 hrs) before you out him. If you don't have another way to contact him, just message him here, but I'd try all methods of contact...you may have done this, but just offering what I've done...

 

@Todd , I wonder if he can see this thread at all, even if tagged, since he's not verified, thus not able to use the trade forums.

 

Have you tried to phone or text him?

And as others have said, the time to worry is now. Not sure how to tag him here or if he can see this forum, but, yeah, man, I woulda been worried about this some time back.

 

I know you're being nice and all, but unless you have his number or email to call/write and say you created a thread about this and will call him out, nothing will likely change in a couple more days. He read the conversation on July 11th, after you asked if the box made it safely and didn't respond. It's been almost 2 weeks since.

As for BM, the only thing that mandatory to have verification completed is access to trading: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/introducing-account-verification.306828/ . That means he should be able to see and respond to BMs as still.

That said, if he has 30+ trades and just went silent, I'd also be concern about his well-being. Maybe some of the Belgium members know him and can chime in (may need a post in the Benelux forum).

 

Oh boy, @mathieu87 seemed like a really standup guy (IP Trade Brussels). Hope this gets resolved and he's ok.

@mathieu87 You rec'd a text July 11th which you never responded to yet were last seen on BA July 17th. What gives? It seems unlikely that you've got time to get on & off the site multiple times while never responding to your trading partner's texts & very reasonable concerns. You seem to have rec'd a considerable amt of outstanding beer while failing to uphold your end of the deal. Again, what's going on?

@OneBeertoRTA what exactly did the trade involve, ie what did you send & what were you supposed to receive?

 

I know in some situations @blue-dream has posted to the profile of someone who does not have access to this forum because they are not verified (also helps direct people here that may be in the early stages of a trade). Perhaps that would help?

Curious if he is using the excuse of having to pay the .99 USD to verify as a reason to not getting verified. It's very thinly veiled excuse, but something that may be "stopping" him from being verified. Regardless a trader with experience should have come through. GL OP as I hope this gets resolved quickly

EDIT: To clarify my stance, I don't think that is a reasonable excuse at all, just trying to get in the head of a bad trader

 

This is a bummer, anyone who has traded with Nick knows that if the trade centered around two BA DLs, he probably sent 4 of them (or something along those lines), and then some. Very generous trader here. Hope this all works out.
