    Hey everyone,

So the trip went absolutely perfect. Hard to use the word perfect but it truly did. Left my house in CT at 4 AM on the dot. Got to Hunger Mtn at 7:20 AM – no traffic whatsoever! Received ticket #52 while chatting with an awesome couple behind me from Spain. They were from VT but back state side for their son’s wedding and they have both been going to Hunger every Thurs for the past couple weeks to get cases of Heady for their son’s wedding, how awesome! Then I got out of Hunger with a full cause around 8:20. Shot right over to Winooski Beverage, got there for around 9 AM. Was about 25th in line I’d say, they opened at 10 AM and only the first 10 or so got a full case, I received half a case, was out of there around 10:25. Then from there took the hour and a half drive to Hill Farmstead. A lot of back roads but what a beautiful scenic ride! So relaxing! (no service up that way just an FYI, thanks to whoever gave me this heads up) Got to Hill a little passed noon. Walked right in ordered some samples and deliberated as I went back and forth on what growlers I wanted. Got a couple Abner, Susan, Edward and two bottles of Dorothy. Growler fills took roughly 45 minutes from when I got in, seemed like a slow Thursday too, not too many people there. Beautiful brewery in the middle of nowhere though with cool staff. Left the Hill around 1 PM and took the 4 hour drive to B.T.s Smokehouse in Sturbridge, MA. Guy at the Hill who were from the Sturbridge area told me I MUST GO, plus it’s only 15 minutes from Treehouse. OMG the food. I got pulled pork and beef brisket and barely ate half, came with slaw and BBQ beans and corn bread (a little expense $18 bucks but well worth it). Also it was BYOB so of course I cracked my very first Heady there, awesome. Left there and drove to Treehouse and got there around 5:45 or so. Waited only about 15 minutes and got 6 Green cans, 6 Haze cans and 2 That’s What She Said cans (all out of Eureka at that time). Left Treehouse around 6 and made it home safe and sound a little pass 7 PM. 15 hours of driving and 685 miles in total but the trip could not have gone any better! I don’t know if I just lucked out with a great Thursday or if I hit all of these places at exactly the right time. I can’t thank you guys enough for the recommendations really, you guys are great! Hope this is valuable feedback to anyone else looking to make this trip, if you’re thinking about it, DO IT! But find friends to drag, it was a lonely trip solo but then again it was very relaxing and did exactly what I wanted and when!

P.S. I apologize, one bad thing did happen on this trip, I accidentally ran over a baby squirrel leaving Treehouse L… actually you know what 2 things happened, I also spent a lot of $$$ LOL.

    Cheers y’all!

    Joe

That's a killer day! Can't wait to get back to VT on the 7th. Taking my buddy on his first VT run, he doesn't know what he's in for!

pretty insane road trip. Well done! Lots of great beer too.....though I have to say the best beer in your haul might be the last ones you bought

One for the ages. A great story you can tell for years.

    Pretty epic trip.

Quick question for the VT locals. Planning on taking a trip (albeit not as intense as Joe's) up to Bev's for Heady then over to HF for fills next weekend. What is the typical wait at HF for fills on a Saturday afternoon?
