Seriously, I've been enjoying second fiddle since the can release on the 4th of July and it really has the best nose smell of any IPA out there. Now, we could argue its placement as a whole, but nose only... it is tops.

Considering that Fiddlehead is not available in 49 states I'd say you aren't going to find a whole lot of answers to your question on this part of the forum--perhaps ask the VT folks?

Don't know, I've never had SF but I'm sure everyone will add their .02. Recently I tried OH's All Green Everything and it has a pretty great aroma.

If it is better than the nose on Dinner, then I really need to trade for this beer.

Simcoe ales always smell the most delicious to me, but the taste usually lags behind the smell.

Rainbows and Unicorns from Breakside had one of the best noses I've smelled in a LONG time...

+1 Congress Street. I've never smelled a better.

I've had Dinner and All Green Everything... both amazing noses, but I still give the slight edge to SF. I'm heading up to Mass this week to hit treehouse and trillium, hopefully they have Congress Street so I can compare.

Double Dry Hopped Fort Point (technically a pale ale - but best nose I've ever gotten on a pale). Second Fiddle had fantastic aroma too, but DDH Fort Point beat the Julius, Green and Second Fiddle we all shared that night on aroma.

Never had it, but if it's nose is better than Julius, I'll be very impressed...

Brother Benjamin. They need to make scented candles that smell like this beer. That's right...scented candles

Obviously everything is relative, but I thought Green, Second Fiddle and Double Dry Hopped Fort Point all had better aromas than Julius. Same freshness on all beers within 2-3 weeks from packaging.

It can't have a better nose than Hop Hunter.

Is this a serious question? In VT alone Heady, just about all of the HF IPAs, Pieces of 8 and even SOS all have a better nose.

Not a specific brew, but nothing can smell better than a fresh hop beer

Disagree. Again, if you want to say those beers you mention are better overall than Second Fiddle, I don't disagree. But on nose alone, SF is tops.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a can of second fiddle (thanks Pat from Malvern Beer store). Definitely spectacular aroma and flavor. Recently had a beer on tap from Columbus brewing in Ohio called "Thunderlips". Smelled as good or better than anything I've had lately. If you see this beer, DRINK IT!
