Yeah Noble is pretty amazing with their IPA catalog (massive bonus points for location & sports parking) but they are on to something with the showers series. Citra and Nelson totally blew me away, but there have also been some strange ones like Sorachi Ace and Wakatu that are still fun to try but not anything I'd be grabbing several bottles of. As long as they keep brewing the winners and testing the waters on new hops I'll be a happy Angel's fan.

If anyone wants to debate FO>VR/VR>FO, Native Son Alehouse (awesome little place BTW) is having a side-by-side tasting tonight starting at 6:00 pm. $15 for two 4.5 oz drinks (one of each). They've only got one case of FO, so it'll go quickly.

    (FO>VR IMHO.)

Wow, excellent little promotion by NSA. And nice heads-up, Wolfdude.

SB has such a weird __________ scenario going on. A lot of things could probably go there.

Damn. I wish I knew about this last week when I drove through SB twice. Oh well, maybe I'll try batch 2 seeing as I'm done having kids so I won't have enough to trade for a batch 1 FO.

I messaged them a few weeks back asking if they will have FO at all. They responded that once they receive it they will post it on IG. I literally checked every hour 3 days in a row after Bottle logic delivered the case to them. I understand they wanted to just reward the random people who walk into their shop that day, but why would they bullshit me in a private message. That store is definitely not getting any of my business anymore.

In OC this week. Any chance at all I'll be able to find a bottle...?

Only chance of getting a bottle is pretty much having to trade.

That's kind of what I thought. Seems to be pulling a bit too much right now though. If anybody on this thread is feeling generous and wants some midwest brews let me know (Darkness, DL, etc) and I'll be driving my full cellar down in the next month when I move. Not sure it's worth trying the trading boards...

Every once in a while, we need ammo that'll enable us to land more than Daisy Cutter and Robert the Bruce.

And still available today. Though IMO, worth the $12.96 for a 8 or 10oz snifter once, but wouldn't do it again.

You guys trade for that? I'm so sorry. I keep complaining about the move and missing MW beer and my friends look at me like I'm insane because I'm coming to CA, land of the good beer. I'm hoping my last trip to visit the in-laws in Munster before the move results in a couple cases of Zombie Dust and maybe some Pseudo Sue and New Glarus while driving through WI. Happy to share the wealth when I get here especially if it means getting in on some shares and meeting some good people in a new place.

It's kind of a joke for California traders. A lot of them end up trading their good beers for midwest or east coast hops but in a hugely lopsided manor. I travel back and forth from Ohio to California, Zombie Dust is like gold here.

I was being facetious of course. My remark was more of a reference to how low California beers tend to trade. There's a lot of cool folks here so I have no doubt you'll get connected sometime soon.

I kind of figured. Though give Half Acre some credit...Daisy Cutter is pretty awesome.
I just hope it's less of a shit show down here than in MSP. I love the scene up there but it's a second job just to keep up with all the competition for releases. After typing that I think back to what my parents said about wishing in one hand and spitting in the other...

I'm not gonna lie--there's a lot of competition for beer here, but if you accept the fact that you won't get every single bottle out there, it's a lot easier to enjoy. Patience has allowed me to experience a ton of great beer on draft. I've all but given up on trading and I'm totally ok with that. To be honest, there's not a lot of reason to trade since there's no shortage of good breweries here, many of which excel at multiple styles. Holler if you're ever in LA.

I thought it was pretty fair, bottles were $20 and it's 16.9oz.
