    Very sad news. He was still a young man. I will certainly raise a glass to Ron tonight...and on the day of his "Celebration of Life" event.

    How awful. Ron was instrumental in helping me track down Carton stuff last year and he was truly the nicest man. I would love to attend any event in his honor.

    Wow, what a bummer. Ron was one of the dozen or so guys I remember well when I was first active on this site in 2001/2002, and he was always a great contributor back then. RIP.

    Damn, he was a good cat.
    I did hard time at Heavyweight with him and would just run into him randomly at Ramstein or out and about.
    I wouldn't have heard from him for a while and then he'd just drop me a beermail comment on some random place I'd written up or forum thing I'd said.
    Yeah, we lost one of the good ones.

    Well said. I for one am used to seeing a lot of the same avatars and on here and Rons being one of them. It does indeed remind us we are more than the image we see on here. I feel like he deserves a .. his name was Robert Paulson salute. In my beer world where not everyone i know outside of here is a BA, you all are my beer friends. Not trying to sound weird.

    Sad, sad news. Two years ago, when I had stents put in my heart, I had several conversations with Ron. He helped me get through a tough time.
