Grapevine got some in today. They're not too, too far from Lowry...

King Soopers in Glendale had some DBC this afternoon. Only $5 per can, which is as cheap as you'll find it. I couldn't resist picking up another while I was there. Finally cracked open one tonight - indeed an impressive beer, though I will definitely be splitting it with others in the future, since I found the flavors to be a bit taxing.

Yeah, it was a bit much for me by the end. I'm not sure I'll be picking any more of it up. I like Maui's better-it doesn't taste at all like coconut to me, but is more enjoyable to drink.

Anyone know if this is hitting national distro, or is it just going to be CO/NC only?

I thought I read that the first round was CO/NC. Assumed with the wording that it was hitting other distro later but I have seen no official statement confirming that.

I heard CO and NC only. And NC was brewery only in Brevard.

Ill be coming into Fort Collins next Tuesday, curious to the availability of DBC and if anyone could send me in the right direction. Would be willing to bring some jersey distro beers in for an IP trade in FC if the beer isn't available much anymore

Last place I saw a bunch was at Marczyk's on Colfax. I bought a bunch; however, I will add this...I'm not sure how often you get to Colorado, but (in my opinion) this pretty much falls to the bottom of the barrel in terms of beers worth searching out. Just saying...there are a lot of more worthwhile beers to grab and bring back to NJ (which by the way is a place I don't give a shit about getting beers from via distro). I don't mean that in a rude way, but seriously.

Apparently you've never heard of Kane or carton!!! and you would be quite surprised at the quality beers you can get in jersey beyond the aforementioned breweries. But hey, you can take shots at a beer scene I'm quite sure you know very little about, and ill sit here and enjoy my constant supply of head high, overhead, boat, and O'Dub. Anyways, I come in once a year for about a week, and for sure will be visiting odell, New belgium, and fcb, but have always loved coconut beers so figured I'd try and get a can or two of DBC.

Bashing hometown beer and shitting on a whole state in just a few sentences? C'mon man that's not what it's about. Opinions are always welcome but calling DBC bottom of the barrel is overwhelming NOT the consensus... And if any CO brewer made something like Carton's Regular Coffee I would be a VERY happy man.

Let's play nice here... I will say that based on your chosen destinations while visiting our wonderful state you are doing yourself a disservice (minus Odell, they're solid gold). I would recommend getting yourself off the beaten path in FoCo and checking out some of the smaller breweries that you otherwise wouldn't be able to try (Funkwerks screams to the top of that list). Definitely seek out DBC though, it's delicious!

I'm back East (grew up there) about 10-15 times a year, so I know it well...Philly and NYC for the most part. That's just like my opinion, man. Only things I get jealous of are Tired Hands, Allagash (which we no longer get in CO), Maine Beer Co, and some others...but yeah, I know the scene pretty well. Still don't need anything from NJ. Take it or leave it.

I'd love to hit some of the lesser known breweries in FC, just need a kick in the right direction! Funkworks sounds pretty awesome, and honestly fcb and new belgium were on the list because our house is within 5 minutes. Really excited for odell though.

Odell, Funkwerks, Horse & Dragon, and Equinox are my favorites in Fort Collins. New Belgium is a great spot for a tour.

Black Bottle, Coopersmith, Pateros Creek, Fort Collins Brewery, Freedom's Edge are all also in town, but one's I would not regret if I didn't get the opportunity to visit. Personally, I would hit up some of the beer bars (Tap N Handle, Mayor of Oldtown) before hitting up those taprooms.

There are a few new breweries in FC that have popped up since I moved last year, obviously I can't comment of their worthiness.
