Gonna be interesting to see how shops do limits. In my neck of the woods, it was no problem to walk into a Total Wine for a 4-pack of regular BCBS the morning of. I wonder what it'll be like now. Single bottle limits? If so...bummer. OTOH, if those shops also got a couple variants at 1/per, I suppose that'd be some compensation.

Less hot than habaneros. Mild to medium hot at most.

Hate the format change but variants all sound excellent.

Time to start buying lunch for all the receiving managers at the local bottle shops..

I assume Prop will still be the only one that's Chicago only, yes? So theoretically Rare will see wider distribution (well, relatively, since the variants always seem to be limited-ish)

Seriously. We thought The Great KBBS Rewaxing of 2014 was bad. Imagine if people had no way to tell the beers apart except for that little neck tag.

There are currently three different threads actively discussing the Bourbon County release. :slight_frown:

The other two are resurrected 2014 threads.

this "speculation" thread is pointless now. the only speculation now is what is 2016 going to bring.

That's what it says on the Instagram captions. Everything but Prop is described as "Available nationwide in 16.9oz bottles in limited quantities."

Used for bitterness and smoke, no heat to speak of generally. Think Abraxas, not Mexican Cake.

    They all sound amazing.....esp Prop.

Anyone known what limits tend to be at the GI release event? I've though about making the pilgrimage before but never pulled the trigger. I assume things will have changed due to the new bottles, but any insight into how it used to work is appreciated. Thanks!

This is a thread about 2015 Bourbon County. Seems silly to start a completely new thread for 2015 Bourbon County discussion. And even sillier to discuss 2015 Bourbon County in multiple threads about the 2014 release.

Well it looks like they ruined the maple variant by putting peppers in it. The regal rye sounds okay I guess. Like a cherry/backyard hybrid with sea salt of all things thrown in.

    I want the rare though.
