Edward doesn't even tell his employees when they will be released. He is pretty good at keeping the info to himself. I worked the releases, and I didn't even find out until a couple days before (if not the day before).

That won't change anything. No one is going to know on here anyways. Well, at least not until it is all out in the public.

So Cognac, Double Barrel, and Pappy?! Should be fun.

Also if you haven't figured it out Edward doesn't care if the release fucks up your plans or isn't fair. He releases it when he wants, he isn't waiting on any one of us. You can complain til you are blue in the face, it isn't going to make a difference. He doesn't lose sleep over any of this, I can promise you that.

I love it when breweries do silent releases. I know its been said before but silent releases are a great way to take care of the folks who take care of the brewery all year round. While it may lessen my chances of being able to get some BA Cakes I hope Edward decides on a silent release for them.

I understand taking care of locals. BA Sexual Chocolate comes out next week. I will be at the release. By announcing it a little bit in advance, even if it's just a few days it lets us make plans. Westbrook isn't to far for me. I have been there several times and would love to go to the BA release. But I also want to make plans for my weekends. If they want to release it on a Thursday and not tell anyone in advance that's not taking care of the locals, its taking care of whoever had that day off work. I'm not saying it needs to be announced a month in advance on every social media site, but at least give a few days heads up so I don't have to blow off my plans to go. If you want to take care of the local have more kegs on tap and lower the bottle count.

I don't believe WB has much of a choice but to release this silently. Construction of the new facility next door is taking up most of the parking area and it is tough enough to get in there even on a good day (I was there yesterday). As far as the recent release of Coffee Cake, there was plenty available for almost a week. I didn't make it there on the first day, but was still able to get bottles for myself and a few friends. We'll all find out soon enough!

Fail. Sorry bud, virtually everyone in town will get ba cakes, regardless whether they are working or not...sorry for your loss! Last year they announced a couple days before and there were more people from out of town than locals...and 2 dudes that hire mules both ended up with at least 6 allotments...#keepsilent

Ba cakes are bigger than charleston, as are Westbrooks loyal drinkers in their other markets.

Not really bud, they are bigger than the group of folks that drive from anywhere within an 8 hr radius...the guy in front of me in line last yr was from PA, behind me was from Tampa...

Shocked the Pappy news didn't leak until now. About a year ago, the barrel was sitting in plain sight for anyone who took a tour of the barrel room, and it was clearly labeled as having Mexican Cake in it. I was good and kept my mouth shut, as did many other people I know. Still surprised it wasn't leaked though.

I thought they would do the Pappy separate from the others, I guess they still could. We shall see! (I'll probably be out of town and get shut out anyways, haha)

Yeah, the Pappy is pretty wild. Just 1 barrel to my understanding too.

Exactly. Specifically speaking fella, I live in Charlotte and have been hoping over the border for years to grab their beer. Im drinking a goserita as we speak. Now that they are in NC, their fanbase of loyal drinkers has expanded. Same with Ga, and NY etc. Maybe those folks that lived in PA were hoping over to NY to pick up Westbrook. But what do I know. Personally, i would be pumped if I lived in Charleston and had bottomless supplies of BA Cakes, but I don't. Cheers
