has anyone else noticed the taste of two hearted is less flavorful from cans than the bottles? Is it just me?

I will have to try it from cans again but I just recently tried Two Hearted in bottles and I am surprised to say I believe Two Hearted from cans tasted better. More testing is needed.

    Deserves a side by side
    I see no downside

The first time I had two hearted was in a can and I really enjoyed it. Second time was from a bottle and I didn't enjoy it as much. Ever since then I will only buy it in cans.

Yes. I've done head to head blindly with 4 pours (2 of each, so I could see if I was truly finding something in a blind taste).

I won't buy cans for this beer.

Draft is best by a good margin though.

My experience as well- I never got the 'floral' nose from a bottle (although age certainly could have been a consideration.) The cans are usually fresh, so that's what I go for, but it would be interesting to put it to the test.

I've only ever truly enjoyed it on draft. It's been inconsistent out of the bottle for me, never had it out of the can

I had two hearted on draft last night and it tasted more like what I get out of the can. Cans allow no light or oxygen in and seem to preserve beer longer so long as the aluminum is coated. Not sure if Ballast point coats their cans but I prefer sculpin from a bottle as every time I've had it from a can it tasted a bit off. Two hearted has always been better out of a can though.

I've had Two Hearted on tap, bottles and can. Quite frankly, all three tasted delicious. One of my favorite IPA's.

Echo the statements above about draft being the best of the bunch, but I actually prefer Two Hearted from the can over a bottle any day.

I like it any way, and I've drank many many gallons of the stuff over the years.

Fresh on draft is a different beer in a good way IMO.

There is a difference from bottle to can. I'd say the cans have a better nose but seem to be slightly lighter bodied if that makes sense? It could be just from the delivery vessel, can't say I've poured a can into a glass yet.

In my experience, I find while drinking the same beer directly from a can and bottle, there is a significant difference. However, as long as the beers are of similar age, when poured into a glass the difference is negligible or non existent. Just my experience though, many of you seem to have a different take.

I will say no, at least in my experience. I feel it is always better in cans. Now I have to consider freshness here too. The cans in CA are rarely more than a few weeks old, same as when I was in PA. The bottles tend to sit a little longer. A side by side blindfold test will reveal all! :stuck_out_tongue:

I prefer the cans; unless draft. Cans down here in GA are the way to go. $10.99 6 pack bottles; $8.99 4 pack 16oz cans.
