Been doing San Diego research as I'll be there in Sept. Modern Times and Toronado are on my list, as well as Stone Liberty Station. Any tips? And yes I've read the SD "thread" Staying in Mission Beach with wife and kid.

Wanted to pop in here for a moment.

First of all @Kylo76 my very best wishes to your son and your whole family. Thoughts are with you that everything will be positive upon your next appointment

Secondly, it has been brought to my attention that my previous actions within this thread has lead to 2 conclusions. 1 that I "hate" you guys. That couldn't be farther from the truth. You guys are awesome and have the same thing going on in here that SWTFYW has in their respective thread. Some thoughts were misconstrued in regards to that over the past week or so and for that I'm sorry. This group (along with SWTFYW) is what is great about BA it is a community where everyone helps each other out. Whether personally, trades, gopickitupformebros, or any other format. Between the two groups there are well over 100 people at this point and with that come different personalities and I know I have rubbed off on people on both sides of the fence poorly in the past and probably will in the future. So if I've come off as an ass again I'm sorry, sometimes I don't put my best food forward.

My last point before I go back to lurking or lightly participating in the banter. I apologize truly for the impression I came in here for quick trades or favors. Reading back on my own posts in here it is easy to see how that would be perceived. If I had posted more rather than just reading and thinking of posting it would be different, but alas that is not what I did. I didn't mean for it to seem like a handout because that's not what I wanted. You guys are great (and gal) condolences for the shitty light I shone upon myself. I've been lucky to drink with quite a few of the guys down here in TX as well as Mike when I lived back up in MA and each of them are hilarious, generous, and cool people.

Well enough rambling. Sorry I suck and acted like a jackass.

If you like sours check out Toolbox and Council. I think Societe is one of the most underrated breweries out there too.

So I saw an incoming box yesterday, I know I didn't have any trades en route, thinking it was some new curtains or kitschy decorations or whatever women buy online. So I didn't re-route in case it was the ol'lady's and then the gig would be up. VERY happy to see a box o' beer from Kentucky when I got home today. Yeah, been hearing that about Societe too. Since it's my yearly family trip, beer will come second (booo) but can still hit a few that are close. I'll check out the other two as well.

Alpine Pub has expanded, food is pretty good. Go to breakfast at Janet's and then to Alpine Pub, nice little shopping center.

Pizza Port, pizza for the kids...win win.

Bottlecraft is between MT and Toronado, they always have something worth buying. Good stuff you have to ask.

Plus, my fridge is open.

 

Ooh, forgot about Pizza Port. I think Alpine is gonna be too far, doing the whole Seaworld-Zoo-beach circuit. I've been using the San Diego beer map on Google. Good stuff there.
