I've got some major catching up to do both in here, e-mail etc after seeing nothing since about 1PM yesterday. But this is an awesome box, and besides being delicious has some amazing labels!

 

AS I'm catching up on the thread I decided to see how close you were, and it looks like you got about 80 likes in the past 10 hours (I didn't research how many posts). Wow!

 

Yeah that escalated quickly, I believe @UTvols05 was responsible for most of it and was also like #10,000, Kyle you were already firmly sights after 12 Days of Summer, I'll be in touch.

So yesterday I had the honor and privilege of meeting @Littlelotte88 and her better half. The bad news is that I THOUGHT I worked about 30-40 minutes from Nebco, but it look me just about an hour and a half to get there (a combination of Connecticut traffic sucking in general, bad weather, and I think possibly people bailing from a Met game rain delay). Then I got to Nebco and they only had three things on tap!! (Fun stuff happened at this point). And after a great time with Erika and Greg, my trip home (that should have been just under an hour and a half) took two and a half hours, because New York traffic doesn't suck too badly, and the weather was fine, but #lotsofobscenities construction had me taking over an hour to go about 2 miles.

That being said, it was all worth it -- I had a great time meeting Erika and Greg. We drank a few beers, filled a few growlers, and bullshitted (bullshat?) about some of our interactions with other locals. And then we swapped a few beers just for the hell of it... and when I got home I took a quick picture for posting today. We obviously have fairly similar distribution, but I ended up with..



Opa-Opa Watermelon Ale - I said I liked to try new stuff, and this sure qualifies
Nebco Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout -- it had a number and a date on it, so it's a limited batch. I think, but am not sure, that this is Imperial Stout Trooper, but I didn't notice the word "Trooper" on the bottle last night.
Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout - I think I now have two of these, but that is definitely not a problem!
Terrapin French Toasted WnB Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout - this is in that rare category of "a beer that I have that is still on my wants"; I assume this is a real case of a BIF where someone sent this to Erika and she BIF'd it to me
Plan Bee Savage- yes, you read that right -- I was the recipient of a Plan Bee in this case. I believe Savage is one of the sours that originally helped Plan bee gain their reputation, but that was before I was into craft beer or even knew about them. I am SO excited about this one.
Cape Cod Cranberry Spiked Seltzer - I think Erika gave me a challenge bottle here I'll probably try and get someone to share this with me
The Alchemist Petit Mutant- never had this, but I like wild ales, and I've never had anything from The Alchemist that wasn't amazing.
Nebco Gandhi-Bot- I forgot to check the date, and suspect this isn't #lehighfresh (Erika might have been saving this for me since last year lol) but I am really excited to try it. And I'll have opportunities to drink it in the future, but not sure it will still have this can and this name.

Thanks again @Littlelotte88 -- I had a really good time between the two periods of Traffic Hell -- next time we might have to do this on a weekend.

I need to start taking the @Dave_Treat approach in LIFs and just go with 111111 for everything.

Once I'm moved/settled into my new place, I will certainly be running a LIF of my own. Also, I think Jeremy is going to let me help pick a ninja target for his 10k like challenge, so that will be fun

 

So I just caught up on reading and posting. Getting out early today and headed on a road trip for the weekend to Massachusetts and Maine. I probably will be pretty quiet at least until Sunday -- will be spending most of my time driving, sleeping, or drinking (unfortunately pretty much in that order).

 

As soon as I saw the picture, I legit thought you posted the pic of what you gave, not what you got...

What ever happened with this? Best I can tell they gave lip service to the idea of changing it and then went about their day like nothing happened? If so, badass.

 

Buy every bottle at $6/sixer its close to twice that here.

Is a 6ers of ZD good? If thats the case if I do round 7 my target might get slammed with a case.
