Literally every point made in this post is wrong.

Yeah that's the weakest attempt at trolling that I've seen in quite some time.

Here is my take on it. It's ok to prefer one product a company makes. For example I exclusively wear AE jeans. If they had very few pairs of these jeans then I would probably have to call and see when they would be getting a shipment all the time.

I've tried most of Westbrook beers and I prefer pretty much only cake, its variants, anniv stouts and Panther (I really only drink stouts). I will continue to try new Westbrook beers, but until they make something else I enjoy, I'm prob only going to purchase what I like. My issue is that when I call to see if they have what I want to spend my hard earned money on, I get attitude or in one case lied to(coffee cake release day). I understand and am getting used to these silent releases but the shadiness and attitude I could deal without.

Yeah, they lied to me too when I called about regular cake. Poor business practice. I understand they get tired of it just as bottleshop owners get tired of the hopslam/kbs calls. But suck it up, have some integrity and don't LIE about it. Instead of showing arrogance to your customers, try embracing them.

Also used by CCB for Amplitude...which was the best beer I have ever had.

If they have a section on their website that is devoted to cake and the first question is don't ask us. I think it's funny.

If your entitlement drives you to no longer like a brewery, just because you can't get 1 out of 40 beers they make, then I think it is time for you to find a new hobby.
Btw, you must not know Charleston well. We will not miss the visitor money here. That I can guarantee.

Really good, but a bit hot. It got a lot of the barrel character.

You need to ask who you are talking to, then write a complaint if you are lied to. Bitching about it on the net won't fix the issue. Employees are not directed to lie to customers. And honestly, there are only two people in that whole brewery that know exactly when releases will be.

What is hot? The cognac or pappy?

I just called Westbrook. They didn't release any cake today. So that guy that posted about it being too hot must work there to have tried it already.

I'm just going to put together a delicious sandwich, a bowl of chips (maybe Doritos, maybe not), and pour myself a tasty non-rare beer and watch as this thread slowly descends into chaos over the next week or two.

    Cheers!

I'm glad Westbrook is doing what they want to do. I'm a fan of the silent releases, even though I have never been there. Perhaps Westbrook should do pre-sales similar to what Wicked Weed does. But, of course, some folks wouldn't like that either.

The beer scene in Mt. Pleasant is trying to make Westbrook look so fierce. Share the Cognac and DB Cake, you can have the Pappy schmappy barrel-aged.

No, he's an engineer. As he's said in the past he previously worked releases so it could be inferred that he's on a friendly basis with the higher ups.

Cognac is a touch hot. Haven't tried pappy, but I heard it was smooth.
