    Just a splash before lunch. I'm not much of whiskey drinker so can't comment on the quality. Assume it's more of a novelty bottle. I get some licorice and peat, not much of the smoked malt associated with a Rauchbier. It's hot and potent, maybe neat is too aggressive.

    I am going to try and take it easy today. Both physically and with the beer. I have a long day of community service tomorrow. Not that kind. Our local park board (which my brother and I can't seem to find anyone else who wants to be president and vice pres. of for the last 8 years) has our biggest fund raising event. Our 49th annual chicken bbq. We will serve about 720 halves along with everything else that is going on, so I am preparing for my 4am-6pm shift.
    It all helps keep our pool that my grandfather helped open in 1968 operating and affordable, so I try not to complain...much.

    4.8%. I am back in High Life territory
