    Create Your Perfect Beer

    It can be as crazy as you want. It doesn’t even have to be realistic, but it can be if you want. Also, you can pick a brewery that you would want to make it for you. Also, it can be any style you would like.

    For example, I would love to see Russian River make a stout that is infused with Belgian dark chocolate, Madagascar vanilla beans, and tons of freshly dark-roasted coffee. I would like 75% to be aged in Pappy Bourbon Barrels, 15% to be aged in oak barrels, and 10 percent in whiskey barrels.

    So what’s your perfect beer concoction?

    I second that ... and having tried Westvleteren 12, I'll take Rochefort 10. :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

    Mine is Rochefort 10 brewed at a local brewery whose taproom is within walking/staggering distance of my house. And they sell it for $2 a bottle at Kroger.

    My perfect beer will be different for different drinking occasions.

    Tomorrow I will be at a baseball game and my perfect beer will be Troegs Sunshine Pils accompanied with Peanuts and Hot Dogs.

    I haven’t decided what my perfect beer will be this evening, yet.

    Doh! It appears that I ‘missed’ the create part as in create your perfect beer.

    Below is something I recently posted which is more in the spirit of this thread.

    Some of my homebrewed beers that are a bit ‘different’.

    Smokey Brown Ale

    I brew a Northern English Brown Ale where I change up the grain bill to include 30% Weyermann Smoked Malt and 20% Weyermann Rye Malt. It has a noticeable smoky flavor and the Rye provides some complexity to the malt backbone.

    Cranberry Belgian Pale Ale

    A mixture of New World and Old World qualities:

    Old World: Trappist style ale yeast that provides lots of esters (fruity flavors) and phenols (spicy type flavors).

    New World: Generously late hoped with Galaxy & Citra hops. Tartness and a hint of pink from the cranberry.

    Grodziskie

    A historical Polish Beer. Low ABV and brewed with 100% Smoked Wheat Malt.

    Yeah, you're going to have to elaborate. Do you mean Rye or Irish whiskey? Or do you mean whisky (Scotch)?

    Sounds delicious, but I'm a stickler for the details, man.
