    Not sure if tasted like Zeus's tears -- perhaps those of some lesser god -- but the bag of Rum BA beans I had a while back definitely started to smell a bit like Zeus's fecal matter after a couple weeks. As with beer, best consumed fresh. Good, old Black House Blend is more my cup of tea...er, coffee, I think.

    I guess this means my dream of a Tap Room in Carlsbad has to be put on the back burner for now. Well maybe in 2016.

    Well, until you buy a $2,000 espresso machine, a $500 grinder and sink however much time/money as you possibly want into home roasting. But yeah, a good pour over or aeropress is cheaper. Other than a quality grinder anyway.

    Just read the expansion blog post. Huge kudos to @ModernTimesJacob and the MT team. Kinda love the idea of MT slowly taking over all those buildings around the Fermentorium too -- Lord knows a few of them could use a little lovin'. I mean, I'm sure Le Girls gets its fair share of lovin', but somehoe I feel like MT offers just a bit more to the neighborhood...

    I liked it better than Grapefruit Sculpin, personally, which I very much enjoy. They're different beers, and it's kind of like comparing apples and oranges, but if I had to choose one, it'd be Fortunate Islands w/Grapefruit Zest. There's a little bit more nuance than Grapefruit Sculpin, IMO.

    Certified in Monrovia got it as well as Ramirez. I think I saw it at a couple other shops on Facebook, but those are the two I can recall at the moment. Ramirez seems to get everything first so I imagine all the other usual haunts should be getting it throughout the week or early next week.
