I got a box today from @Mikexw and it did not contain the St. Lam that he was supposed to return because it was not Local. Mike - if you don't return the St. Lam, I will not send you that sixer of Oberon! Anyway, here are the contents of the box:


Evil Twin IBB DeCicco - a want of mine, because I see so many people on here enjoying it!
Growler of NEBCo Sea Hag - can't wait to try this one!
Oxbow Barrel Aged Farmhouse Pale Ale - another want hit
OEC Tempus - another want hit!
Keegan Joe Mama's Milk - I've had Mother's Milk from Keegan, so I'm guessing this is their niche
Treehouse Julius - Permawant!!
Westbrook Gose - haven't had in awhile and always a prime candidate for randalling with some fruit

Definitely set myself up for that one... like I said to a friend, I'm not usually that much of a "freshness snob", but kinda like Nick said... first run of a seasonal release and it's almost two weeks old a day after release is kinda odd, especially for a style that should be as fresh as possible

Haven't tried it yet. Finishing this hop drop then I'm gonna open one. I honestly wasn't a huge fan last year but figured I'd give it another go. Not that I thought it was bad back then, I just got nothing special out of it.

I tried poking the incumbent to be. This box came from a CT resident but not Erika.

I work 3-11 but if you are still going after that point I might be able to swing by for an hour or so! Can't go crazy since I'd be driving but I might be able to make something work...

 

So I swung by one of the local shops, looking for 4 Beans or maybe some of the oh so elusive Carton. Struck out.

But I grabbed this to sooth my soul.



Believe it or not, I thought I had waited too long to get this year's IRS...

I was surprised to see the rest. They actually had almost a full row of Track 8.

 

As crazy as it might sound especially considering the easy availability, I've NEVER had Stone IRS

Also #VBS number 2!



Again, this beer just doesn't do it for me this year. It's not an awful beer by any means but it's just.... very standard if that makes sense? On the one hand, it's not an awful beer to get a sixer of and just have in the fridge... except perpetual blows it out of the water and is available year round.

 

VBS - enjoying some Georgia goodness thanks to the recommendations of @UTvols05 . This USA delicious Berliner. Perfect to end up this humid ad sticky hot day. I decided to infuse it with fresh peach juice and it is a success as far as I am concerned.

 

Did you get a notification that UPS will be some place in Florida Tomorrow?

 

I need to take a drive tomorrow.

 

Nate - sorry, but you asked me to share one of the beers you sent with my son, and I'm pretty sure he called dibs on the St. Lam. And part of the reason for the box (besides the thank you) was that I knew I could hit a bunch of wants (most of them during recent out-of-state trips). And I had researched the Keegan situation too!

 

I'm hoping to find 4beans in the next week or so -- I suspect once it gets distributed it won't be too hard to find, so I'm just trying to pay attention to its availability.
