Working as a Brewery lab Tech

    I didnt get the job last year, went on another interview with them recently and they offered it to me. However I had also been offered a brewing position at a startup brewery and took that job over the lab tech position

    Bring what you have to the table. You have by what you mentioned homebrew experience, which is what Two Brothers started out as, and have maintained in house. Win. Prior brewery experience. Double win: because you'll probably be splitting time across a few areas. You're close by the brewery. Triple win. And you have a degree in microbiology. Deal. Just sell all that, and be curious about what they're doing and get a tour of the production facility.
