Just bought 2 Grapefruit Zest/ 1 Universal Friend / 1 Mount Remarkable and put in my fridge. I would love to have a year round MT IPA available in the 7-7.5% range. Whenever we have people visiting us I try to have Modern Times, PizzaPort and another local brewery beers available to introduce them too.

Thank you Modern Times for making it to Bakersfield. Monsters Park was awesome! Keep up the good work @ModernTimesJacob

Blazing World tastes/feels like an IPA, is 6.8%, and is available year-round.

I hear what he's saying. I may be in the minority, but if Blazing World were replaced with City of the Sun or Protocosmos as a regular I'd be one happy camper.

I loved Protocosmos; possibly my favorite IPA from them. That said, Galaxy hops seem to be pretty love it or hate, so I'd assume that wouldn't be their first choice for a year round IPA. But with all this talk of a Nelson Sauvin shortage, I keep wondering if year round City of the Sun/Booming Rollers might be more likely than we think.

Whatever the choice, let's not have it involve the loss of Blazing World. Best beer in their portfolio, IMO. (And I'd vote against Protocosmo, personally, as I thought it a bit soapy/astringent.)

BA Coffee MP in Nitro Cans year round. Seriously, @ModernTimesJacob , throw up another Kickstarter and I'd contribute again for you to license the nitro widget technology...

I would be happy with Mega Black House as a year rounder. The velvety smoothness made the beer, but the amazing taste didn't hurt.

As for IPA, I think that MT puts out a good rotating set of IPAs that a year round one isn't a necessity.

City of the Sun is my favorite IPA of theirs, so I'd love to have that or Booming Rollers as a year-round. I wouldn't want them to drop Blazing World though, since it's my go-to beer. Partly because it's a break from all the other IPAs I drink but it's still deliciously hoppy.

This could possibly be the best thing Modern Times could do....ever....you know, unless they have a special David tap that always has monsters park (not even BA version, i'm not picky) every time I head down there. That would also be neat.

Anyone know which Costco's in North County currently or usually have the 20 packs in stock? I thought when I checked Modern Times' website a couple weeks ago it showed only the San Marcos location carries their beer. Unfortunately I can't check right now as my work browser doesn't load that map.

(Disclaimer- yes, I'd rather bother you guys than their busy staff members)

My early post desiring a year round 7-7.5% IPA was no slam on Blazing World. I have and will continue regularly buying that as it is very good, I wish they did 6 packs of it.

Jacob, you play great music at the brewery. Where do you find your music?

Thanks! It's just a selection of my personal music collection. Before my life was completely taken over by the brewery, I was really into music. My college roommate was an ethnomusicology major, and we spent insane amounts of time finding music and going to shows. Hopefully someday I can get back to it.

Pretty much everything at Modern Times is collaborative except for the playlist. That I rule like an unbending dictator.

    Cheers & thanks,
