Fat Heads can rest assured that I WILL NOT stop drinking their beers! The issue may have even occurred further down the line, i.e. during transport or handling at the store. On a positive note, it looks like I can grab an IBUsive at the Pittsburgh brewpub after work!

IBUsive is one of the best IPAs out there!! I may have one after work myself. Cheers

Hope this is an isolated incident. I picked up a 4pk Wednesday, haven't tried it out yet though and never had it. Resin and Bengali have both been good.

The can I tried yesterday was quite good - definitely nothing like was mentioned above, and it was close to room temperature by the time I finished.

Had a fresh pint at the brewpub last night and thought it was as fantastic as ever. FWIW, I've always liked it better on tap at the brewpub as opposed to the taproom. Not sure if that's all in my head or not.

Have you been drinking bottles? I buy a four pack maybe once a month or so and maybe I didn't notice more grapefruit.

Green Flash doesn't brew Pure Hoppiness.

Well, the 'Alpine' out here certainly has some Green Flashiness in it.

Weird, I thought all of our Alpine was of the Green Flash contract variety...

You were so unimpressed that on Instagram you just asked Simone's to hold you one

For those that have had Oro and Bomb! whats the pepper-ness comparison. Bomb! is about as much pepper as I would like.

Oro has more heat, IMO. But it's damn delicious

Yeah my dad really liked bomb and christmas bomb when I brought some over last Christmas so I wanted to bring one of these over to his house on for Labor Day. He also loves Oil of Aphrodite too so I'm sure he'd be pretty pumped to try it. I wouldn't mind giving it a second shot but yeah its not really my cup of tea. You posted numerous trades offering up Oro, why is it that you can buy bottles for other people and I can't?

Not numerous trades, but one. I was just surprised to see you commenting for them to hold you one after you said you were not impressed.

Also, it is fun to give you a hard time. I am not even gonna try to lie about that.

My dads not really a beer guru, he hasn't heard of 95% of the things I bring over to his place. He doesn't have a BA account, a Facebook, or any other forms of social media. He knows what he's tried and what he's liked / disliked and he loves when the two of us go to beer bars and find new beers to try. I usually just randomly take stuff over and say, "hey try this, I think you'll really like it." If only he knew the trouble and cost associated with some of the stuff I bring to him lol. Expecting a box of SOS and some Tree House cans next week (haven't even had those myself). Kinda hesitant to bring them over even though he loves IPAs. I remember bringing him some cans of Heady on his birthday last year and all I got was "not bad, lotta crap in here though." He didn't even finish it.

I'll be curious to hear if he likes Oro. My wife loves big stouts and loves Oil of Aphrodite. She did not like Oro Negro due to the peppers. Fine by me. I don't have to share my bottles with her now. I swear when I brought some home from the September '14 bottle release that she loved it, but I guess not.

Oil is my favorite Non BA offering from Jackie O's and I thought BA Oil was phenomenal. Much better than Dark App and BA Dark App IMO. That's why I was so pumped to try Oro but yeah the peppers just don't do it for me. I still think Habanero Sculpin is the worst beer I've ever had. It's right up there with Big Lushious and Venus. I'm definitely in the minority when it comes to JO beer preferences. I didn't really get the hype of BB Black Maple either. I think BA Woodburner was the best BA beer they've made to date.

I do like heat in stouts, but not in any other styles really. Oro is one of my favorite Jackie O's stouts. I could never have enough. I think I also prefer BA Woodburner to BB Black Maple. Woodburner just surprised the hell out of me. BB Black Maple is good, but that's a split bottle for me. It's a bit rich for my tastes (though still delicious).

I've had Oro Negro a few times now, once thanks to @RyanMcFly1985 and the peppers turn me off a bit. I plan on getting some bottles to try it again at the release later this month if there are any left. Every time I've had it I was drinking a bunch of other beers and the kick from the peppers was a little too much for me compared to everything else I was drinking. I'll probably try it again when I make BBQ Chicken or something instead of while drinking several other beers.

But Green Flash contract brewed the Alpine stuff for Ohio, am I right? I know it's draft only.
